Another brand that has merged its plus size arm with its mainline operation is occasionwear specialist Phase Eight. When the plus size division first launched it was called Studio 8, but now all the pieces sit under one umbrella, with most items in the range now part of an extended size collection. This is a win-win for plus size customers as they get the inclusive styles from the Phase Eight range, which are absolutely gorgeous.

Rather than having a dedicated plus size collection, Ganni has what is commonly referred to as extended sizes, which means an edit of selected pieces from the mainline have been graded up into plus sizes. This allows shoppers to shop mainline designer pieces from Ganni, which offers a point of difference to many of the other labels available.

Generally with a more youthful approach, if you're ready to deep dive and scroll, there is something for everyone on ASOS, you just have to be prepared to dedicate time going through over 5000 items and work the filter system to find your perfect match.

One of Stevie B's top tips as a stylist: "My favourite go-to for plus size that’s affordable is Asos. I enjoy that it’s aimed at women who can be playful with clothes and be on trend regardless of size, as all brands should be".

With a constant stream of new arrivals, shopping ASOS Curve can get addictive and the online portal does crossover multiple categories, so you can find whatever you're looking for. From appropriately sized plus size jewellery, to some of the best plus size lingerie, wide fitting shoes and bridal wear before you even get to clothing, there is no doubt this is a plus size fashion haven. 

Once a destination on the British high street, Evans is now a solely online brand, but that doesn't mean it has sacrificed its brilliant plus size offering. In fact, if anything, we think it has upped the ante in recent months.

While plus size shoppers still don't have the range of choice that straight sized shoppers do, there is no denying that the last decade has seen a vast improvement in the plus size shopping arena and it's an area of fashion that we expect and hope to see continued growth in.
