7ft Fraser Fir Upswept Pre-Lit Mixed Tips Christmas Tree: was £189.99 now £149.99 | Very
Very's whole range of artificial trees is impressive, but I have a special soft spot for this natural-looking, pre-lit tree. The spaced-out branches are tipped with twinkly 856 lights, leaving there's plenty of room to put all your favorite Christmas decorations. It's an impressive 7ft tall, which is perfect for making a big statement in your home.
4.5ft Pre-Lit Brazil Pine Artificial Christmas Tree with berries: was £89 now £75 | Hayes Garden World
If you don't want to go all-out on a large tree this year but you're still committed to the festive decor to make the home feel more cosy, this 3ft pre-lit option is ideal. Decorated with Christmassy cones, snowflakes and red berries with a red cloth bag to cover up the base, this adorable tree is also reduced by 26% right now.
Balsam Hill's Frosted Fraser Fir: was from £449 now from £279 | Balsam Hill
Make your home look like something straight of Narnia with this whimsical frosted effect fir tree. If you're not sure which size of the tree to get, decide on the basis that a 7ft tree will fit in most average-sized living rooms. Go smaller if you don't want something too imposing, or larger if your home is blessed with lovely high ceilings.
Balsam Hill's 6.5ft Fraser Flip Tree: was from £509 now from £349 | Balsam Hill
The flip tree is one of the most expensive trees available when it's at full price – which makes it even more worthwhile to buy now. "My family home has this flip tree," reveals our homed editor, Tamara Kelly, "so I can personally vouch for the immense WOW factor with this tree. It flips in one motion from folded to assembled – ready in less than a minute! The 900 lights are dazzling, it doesn't even need decorations."
8ft Flocked Emperor Artificial Tree with Metal Stand: was £199.99 now £99.99 | Very
Snow-covered Christmas trees are set to be the star of the season, which is why I think this is one of the best alternative Christmas trees to buy. This timeless, elegant all-white tree makes the perfect canvas for all your decorating. And, having seen it in person, I have to say that each needle looks real, as if it's come straight out of a snowy forest.
The Ultra Devonshire Fir Pre-lit with Warm White/White Color change LEDs: was £149 now £79.99 | Christmas Tree World
There's over £70 off of this Devonshire artificial tree at Christmas Tree World for Black Friday, which is a decent discount for a tree like this.
The Ultra Devonshire comes in sizes between 4ft to 12ft, and is pre-lit with warm white and colour change LED lights. It has eight different lighting settings, including always on and the flashing setting, which combines both colour options.
6ft Norway Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree: was 130 now £52 | Homebase
This lovely tree from Homebase has a very real feel to it, with haphazard branches that create some texture and variation to the tree. So it's a great option if you want an artificial tree but don't want it to look too polished and perfect. There's a whopping 60% off, because this is in the clearance, so I think it'll go fast.
Vermont White Spruce: was from £359 now from £249 | Balsam Hill
I love the colour and body of this spruce - it's neat as a pin (or should I say pine needle?). The Vermont is available in sizes from 4.5ft right through to 10ft, so I'm confident that any house could enjoy this all-rounder. It's pre-lit with either clear or coloured LED lights and comes complete with an off-season storage bag and a stand with rubber feet, for minimal scratching.
8ft Sherwood Real Look Full Christmas Tree with Metal Stand: was £379.99 now £261.99 | Very
This thoroughly realistic tree is a bestseller for good reason, not just because there's nearly £120 off the price tag. With 3695 tips for a full, larger-than-life feel, and a simple shape, there's plenty of room for your best Christmas tree topper ideas, too.
Festive Frosted Snow Queen 7ft Christmas Tree: was £159.99 now £113.99 | Very
With 1148 realistic-looking tips, this lush artificial tree is a blank canvas for all your designs. It comes with authentic pine cones hanging off the branches, for a truly festive feel, You'll just need to invest in your own lights to decorate it - or use the ones that you already have.
6ft Slim Spruce Christmas Tree: was £19.99 now £9.99 | The Range
If you're after a slim artificial tree that won't take up much space in a small room, this budget option from The Range is half-price off. The tall but compact tree includes a stable stand to keep it safe, and has over 185 tips.
6ft Pre-lit Snowy Tree: was £89, now £71.20 | Marks & Spencer
This sophisticated snowy tree won a 4.5-star rating in our best artificial Christmas tree buying guide this year. "During testing, this was one of my personal favorites of the snow-covered trees, " explains w&h's homes expert Tamara Kelly. "The snow coverage is so realistic and because it's pre-lit with 200 warm LEDs you don't have to disturb the coverage by threading lights onto it – meaning very minimal snowdrop during assembly."
What to look out for when choosing a Christmas tree
If you're shopping for a tree online, it can be difficult to know from pictures if the tree is exactly what you're after. So while an artificial tree is a good option if you're after something stylish and low-maintenance, it can pay to consider a few things before buying.
Most importantly, look for a tree with a high tip count. The higher the tip count, the fuller the tree, and the more space for your Christmas tree decorating ideas.
Also, unlike many products, you do tend to get what you pay for when it comes to buying an artificial Christmas tree. This means that often, it's worth spending the extra cash for a decent one that you'll use for years to come (it will help the environment if you re-use it, too). You'll often find that many of the higher-quality, pricier trees look fuller and more natural, too. But rest assured that you don't have to splurge all your savings—the Black Friday Christmas tree deals can often help you to buy a more premium tree for a discount.
It's also worth noting whether the tree is pre-lit or not—we'll dissect this more below, but if you want to add all your own decor, you may not want to buy a tree with lights that you didn't choose yourself.

Whichever tree you end up buying, one of the best things about artificial Christmas trees over real ones is that aesthetic-wise, they generally boast perfect symmetry, and tend to look good from all angles. Plus, they're a lot easier to maintain, with no dropped needles on the floor and no need to dispose of it after the festive season!
Should I get a pre-lit Christmas tree?
When shopping for the best Black Friday Christmas tree deals, a pre-lit tree can be a brilliant option.
For example, if you're worrying about how to decorate a Christmas tree, buying a pre-lit tree can be a great way to make yours look instantly chic without too much effort. They'll look fun and festive without you having to buy lights separately, and you don't necessarily add any more Christmas decorations either if you don't want to.
But what sort should you get if you do want a pre-lit tree? Colorful lights are fun and if that's your style, go for it! But if you're unsure, opt for the simple, warm light pre-lit trees as you will never tire of them, and they'll likely never go out of style. Plus, they'll go with almost any decor too.
However, you may decide that you don't want a pre-lit tree, in order to put your own stamp on your Christmas tree decor. If you do choose a pre-lit tree, there's little to no point putting your own lights on it, which may be disappointing if you've already got a set you love stashed away. Also, it's worth noting that with a pre-lit tree, you can't really switch up the decor year-to-year, so it may not be the best option if you like to change your lighting set up each Christmas.
