FAQs

Does Argos have free delivery?

Argos only has one free delivery option: if you’re ordering a larger kitchen appliance, such as a dishwasher, on the standard tariff. Otherwise, the company offers a selection of delivery fees based on the size of the item you’re buying - from £3.95.

However, while Argos’ delivery may not be free in many cases, it’s certainly quick. Among other options, the Fast Track Service promises customers buying online before 5pm delivery by 10pm the same day at a cost of £5.95. Argos also has a great deal with Tu clothing, the brand created by Tesco, where you can order before 2pm Monday to Friday and receive your items the following day for £3.95.

How long does Argos hold click and collect items?

Once you've placed your Argos click & collect order, you'll receive an email when it's arrived at your chosen store. Once you've received that email, you have 7 days to collect your items. If you're unable to collect within those 7 days, you can actually extend your collection time by another 7 days - just head to your Argos 'Your Account' page to do so.

It's also worth mentioning that Argos click & collect is free of charge, a great option if you want to save on delivery costs.

Does Argos price match?

Argos does not offer price matching on any products against competitors. They also don’t offer price matching on many of the products they sell with partners such as Tu Clothing as the sale is completely different from the independent site or any sales of clothing in a Sainsbury’s store.

Does Argos take PayPal?

Yes! There are various ways to pay once you’ve applied your Argos promo code. You can choose the classic debit or credit card options and pay with PayPal. The process is simple too. When you reach the checkout, simply choose the PayPal option from the list and log in as you normally would. However, if you’ve paid with PayPal and you’re looking for a refund down the line, these can take up to 30 days with Argos.

How do I return an order to Argos?

Sometimes you change your mind about something you've ordered and that's ok. At Argos, the returns policy is nice and easy. You have 30 days to return your order from when it's been delivered or when you've gone to collect it. Make sure it's in it's original packaging, unused and with proof of purchase.

Hints & tips

Sign up to Nectar card: Argos is a partner with Nectar card, so along with other companies like ebay, British Airways, and Sainsburys, you can save at Argos with a membership to the Nectar card scheme. Whether you buy in-store or online, Nectar card holders collect 1 point for every £1 they spend. To get started and access some great promotions, offers, and exclusive deals, you just need to register with Nectar card and link your card to your Argos account.

Shop brand deals: While Argos tend to cash in on the big seasonal sales, they don’t tend to offer many sales outside of this - apart from on particular brands. To find the best deals, have a look on the Argos homepage under the ‘Brands’ header. Here you’ll discover unique codes to add at checkout relevant to particular products. However, be sure to check the terms and conditions as you may not be able to use two Argos promo codes at once. When you’re deciding which one to use, make sure you pick the one that offers the best deal.

Sign up to marketing: What’s another email in your inbox? If you sign up to Argos Marketing - which involves allowing the brand to email you from time to time with deals, offers, and launches - you’ll be eligible to receive £5 off your next £40 purchase online. The code will land in your inbox shortly before your first email and you’ll be able to use it whenever you choose to save money. You can also unsubscribe to marketing emails at any time, via the link at the bottom of the email.

Shop the Simple Value Range: If you know what you want but you don’t want to pay for the brand’s label on the product, try shopping Argos’ range called Simple Value. It does exactly what it suggests; offers simple products at a lower price point. While the collection isn’t huge to begin with and it ranges in size throughout the year, if you’re in the market for larger appliances like a fridge or freezer, more unique items like seat covers for a car or other driving accessories that the store doesn’t really specialize in, you may just find a reasonable price here.

How to use Argos promo codes

  1. To use your Argos promo code, copy the unique combination of letters and digits from the woman&home page here.
  2. Visit Argos.co.uk and find the items you want to buy. Add them to your basket and head to the checkout page by clicking on the labelled ‘Trolley’ icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Once you’re here, you’ll be able to choose your delivery option, whether you want to collect your item from an Argos store or have it delivered to your home.
  4. Complete the sign-in/create an account process and log back into your account.
  5. You’ll be taken to the payment page after this, which is where you can add your voucher code to the box and view the discounted total amount.

 What to buy from Argos

A room with rattan furniture and hanging plants

As a catalogue retailer and now online supplier, some of the best deals to be had from Argos come from the furniture and outdoor selection. If you’re looking to get your outdoor (or indoor) space sorted for the warmer months this year, this is undoubtedly one of the best places to go.

Argos offers some of the best outdoor furniture at affordable prices with excellent delivery and collection options as homeware store Habitat is now also part of the same group, with both brands owned by Sainsbury’s. For example, you can buy a Habitat 2 Seater set made from stylish rattan for just £140, ideal for a small patio or outdoor space in the summer months. While larger sets, including an impressive 4-seater bamboo effect garden sofa set, are available for under £500.

If you’ve ever wanted to convert your garden into a gym space, now’s the time. While we saw most items sold out a year ago thanks to the surge in lockdown gyms, Argos have restocked and you can now buy everything you’ll need to create your ideal workout space for a good price - from the best dumbbells and resistance bands to larger items like women’s bikes and machinery. There are also often sales on the larger items, such as Reebok treadmills for those looking to take up walking as a workout at home, and smaller accessories, so, be sure to keep an eye out for these too when using your Argos promo codes.

It’s the versatility of the brand and the huge range of products that make the Argos shopping experience totally unique though, as whatever way you’re looking to redecorate and renovate or develop healthier habits, there’s something for you in the department.
