Fans cheered for the Duchess of Sussex as she made an appearance at the US Open to support close friend Serena Williams.

The Duchess of Sussex took a solo trip to New York to watch Serena Williams play against Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu at Flushing Meadows.

She was caught on the live camera feed in the arena, with a video being shared on Twitter as she waved to tennis fans. The caption said that the US ‘loved Meghan’, and that was clear by the cheers of the crowd.

During her time there, the Duchess of Sussex got the chance to speak with Serena Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou, as well as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

This New York trip appears to be the first time Meghan has returned since her baby shower, also hosted by Serena Williams.

Reportedly, the Duchess had spent the morning taking part in a yoga class at Modo studios, where she’d been going for years. She apparently makes an effort to attend a class whenever she’s in New York to help combat jet lag.

Fans loved Meghan’s casual high street denim dress too, and you might be surprised at where it came from. After all, we love a good high street buy!

We’re not sure how long Meghan is in America for, but we’re sure she can’t wait to get back home to baby Archie and husband Prince Harry.

The trio will soon be heading on their tour of Africa too, their first one as a family.
