As a fashion editor, I've long refused to heed the siren call of Crocs, but when I spotted their new slipper designs, even I was intrigued.

SPECIFICATIONS

My favourites have always been the Birkenstock shearling-lined Arizona sandals that I lovingly dubbed Furkenstocks, but even I had to admit that my toes were starting to get chilly in their exposed state, and perhaps I needed a closed-toe style to see me through this winter.

When I spied Crocs Cozzzy slippers, I had to admit that I was intrigued by their toasty-looking borg design - several of my friends had gone over to the dark side, and finally, curiosity got the better of me.

Available in seven colourways, there's an option for every taste, from pastel greens and pinks to classic black and chic soft grey - I decided to opt for an elegant sepia colour, tapping into one of the coolest autumn/winter fashion colour trends 2025 for a more directional spin. Would my Crocs aversion finally be broken?

Crocs Cozzzy Slippers: Comfort & Support

There's no denying that Crocs Cozzzy slippers are comfortable - the inner Borg lining creates a snug cocoon for your feet from the second you slip them on, and the added heel band helps to secure the shoe onto your foot, meaning you're unlikely to slip out of it.

However, unlike traditional Crocs, this slipper has a soft sole, which may mean that this style is not the one for you if you prefer a sturdier shoe. The soles do, however, feature subtle rubber pods for added grip on even the slipperiest of surfaces, although you may want to avoid wet flooring due to the softer soles.

I personally like having an outdoor-ready sole on my slippers for those moments that I need to nip out, but these slippers are strictly indoors-only.

Crocs Cozzzy Slippers: Style

The cosy Borg fabric that lines both the inside and outer shell of the Crocs Cozzzy slipper is a style upgrade on the typical rubber exterior of a Crocs shoe, making it infinitely more stylish. The fabric extends to the heel strap too for a unified look to the slippers, plus a soft and comfortable overall finish.

However, unlike normal Crocs, this style has no Jibbitz holes, so sadly, they aren't customisable.

With a range of colours to choose from, you can find a pair to suit your style. I opted for a grown-up camel-hued colour, but there is a range of pastel options as well as more muted black and grey. Fully furry, I definitely benefited from their warming finish.

Crocs Cozzzy Slippers: Cleaning & Care

Thanks to their soft fabrics, Crocs Cozzzy slippers are machine washable. However, it's advisable to spot-wash smaller stains in order to help maintain the fabric and composition of the Croslite foam foundation of the shoes.

For best results, pre-treat any stains and place the shoes in a net bag inside a full wash. A cold temperature will be kinder to the fabrics, too.

Reshape them gently after washing and leave them to air dry fully before wearing again. For the best results, stuff them gently with balled-up newspapers to maintain their shape as they dry.

Crocs Cozzzy Slippers: Verdict

As a long-time Crocs sceptic, could the Cozzzy slippers change my mind? There's no denying that they are incredibly comfortable and true to their name, cosy. They warmed my feet immediately and, unlike many open-backed slippers, stayed on my feet without falling off, thanks to the integrated heel strap.

While you might not see me wearing rubber Crocs outside of the house any time soon, my Crocs Cozzzy slippers are here to stay - at least for the chilly winter months.
