Beauty fans appear to have found the holy grail of lipsticks – but instead of worrying about a designer price tag, this new favourite can be found on the high-street.
And it can be all yours for under a tenner.
That’s right, Maybelline’s Superstay Matte Ink Liquid lip colour is designed to give you “an intense ink colour concentration with an ultra-chic matte finish” for a flawless 12 hour wear – and it’ll only cost you £9.99.
The colour is said to be so long-lasting, that the high street make-up brand claims one is sold every minute – that’s a lot of lipstick.
It also comes with a precise arrow applicator to deliver a smooth matte, second-skin effect on your lips in just one stroke.
But if you think this lipstick is only for those who love a strong, bold colour, think again as there are also some great options for those of you who prefer something more natural-looking.
Instead of opting for a vibrant pink lip, like the brand’s Romantic, you can instead choose a soft, pale pink like Dreamer.
Or instead of a bold, deep purple like Escapist, you can wear an everyday nude like Driver – the options are endless.
Reviews for the lipstick appear to agree with Maybelline’s long-lasting claims too.
One person commented, “It is very light, comfortable, and completely matte. It dried fairly quick, and I really like the applicator shape, it is slightly pointed at the tip to make it easier to line the lips. It is extremely long lasting!! I had to use a waterproof makeup remover to remove it.”
Another said, “The staying power of this lipstick is the best I've ever found. I applied it in the morning and by evening time it was still on. I couldn't believe it!!! To me it looked just as pretty from start to finish.”
While a third said, “SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS LIPPIE!!! It does not budge all day, even through lunch and snacks and coffee.”
However, with such staying power comes the tricky task of how exactly you should remove it.
Maybelline suggests “checking out our new SuperStay Eraser Lipcolor Remover or you could try a waterproof makeup remover”.
