Prince William had a relatively private and secluded education at St Andrews, the same university where he met his now wife, Kate Middleton. Although they have now been married for more than a decade, it was recently revealed that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s first meeting ended with her ‘scuttling off’ red-faced with embarrassment at meeting a celebrity.
During an interview about their engagement in 2011, Kate revealed, "Well actually I think I actually went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you." Catherine added that despite this initially awkward first meeting the pair became fast friends. "William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially. He wasn’t there for Freshers Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other. But we did become, you know, very close friends from quite early on," said Catherine.
