"A real treat for your feet" - you've heard of Skechers trainers, but did you know they make the cosiest slippers too?

I know it's a tough job, but I've found myself in the lucky position of testing a fair few pairs of the best slippers over the last year or so. At times, I've felt a bit like Goldilocks: some have been too small, some don't slip on easily enough, but the Skechers BOBS Keepsakes Lite slippers? They're just right.

Skechers is the third biggest footwear brand in the world after Nike and adidas, so you'll no doubt have heard of their slip-in trainers. I wouldn't have even thought of Skechers for slippers, but these are undeniably cosy.

I tried the BOBS Keepsake Lite Cozy Blend slippers, which feature a vegan leather upper, faux fur lining and a cushioned memory foam footbed. What's the BOBS bit, I hear you ask? It's a collection that's committed to helping pets in need. Skechers has donated millions to animal organisations, so you really can feel good about looking good.

These slippers are toasty for the winter, but will be a go-to all year round. If you're looking for a Christmas gift for a friend or loved one, they would surely be thrilled with these.

Skechers BOBS Keepsakes Lite slippers: Comfort & support

You really do get a lot for your money with these. Skechers is known for their super comfortable trainers, and these slippers are absolutely up to the same standard. The soles are sturdy but not heavy, and for me, they were comfortable from the moment I tried them on. They also offer a really good level of support for the top of your foot, which is particularly helpful if you're anything like me (I dropped a tin of baked beans onto my bare foot a couple of weeks ago, and I was so annoyed I wasn't wearing my Skechers at the time!).

Although it's not strictly recommended by the brand, you could definitely wear these outside. In fact, Skechers brand ambassador Myleene Klass has recently been pictured wearing them out and about on her way to work!

They're incredibly easy to get on or off, so they would be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. I've also got the UGG Tasman slippers in my collection, which are a similar shape. With those, they felt a little too small at first, but the shearling flattens down over time. Skechers, I would say, run on the large side. I went for a size up, but thankfully, I want to wear these at home with thick cashmere socks, so they work perfectly. But if I were ordering them again, I'd stick to my normal size or even go a size down.

The suede-look finish, faux fur and clog-style silhouette make the Skechers BOBS Keepsakes Lite slippers perfectly on trend. I've worn mine with everything from wide-leg jeans to gym leggings and loved how they look. They definitely have an UGG feel to them, but with faux fur instead of shearling (which is incredibly soft, I have to say). The lining completely covers the inside of the slipper, not just beneath your foot.

Certainly, the next time I fly off on holiday, I'll be wearing these to travel in. Sure, they're slippers, but you can absolutely get away with wearing them out of the house. In fact, the one-inch heel will give your look a bit of a lift!

It's recommended that you hand-wash these slippers with warm water and soap. So far, mine have stayed really fresh, and actually, if you wear socks with yours, I think you'll find the faux fur lining lasts a lot longer.

So far, any small marks on the top of mine have wiped away easily.

A real treat for your feet, the Skechers BOBS Keepsakes Lite slippers are really great value for money. They're incredibly sturdy and durable, beautifully comfortable, and truly, that faux fur is the softest I've felt.

If you spend a lot of time at home, these will keep you cosy for long days of working and running around, as well as chilly winter nights in front of the television. It feels like a cliche, but they are a £40 hug for your feet, and will bring that little bit of joy to every day. Well worth it, if you ask me.
