With Breast Cancer Awareness Month coming up this October, beauty brands across the country are stepping up to support this vital cause.
The annual health campaign, which has promoted public understanding of the disease and fundraised for its research and treatment since its inauguration in 1985, has drawn the support of both big-name and indie cosmetic companies for decades —and 2021 is no exception.
After nearly one million women missed their breast cancer checks due to the pandemic, there's never been a more important time to discuss this widespread issue. In the UK alone, a woman is diagnosed with the disease every 10 minutes, while approximately 11,500 women die every year from it. Just last month, Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding passed away from the illness, after being diagnosed the previous year. Her tragic death aged 39 has been followed by Julia Bradbury's 'shattering' breast cancer diagnosis a few weeks ago, reminding us all of just how prevalent this disease is.
If you're looking to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a small gesture, you might like to buy from a brand that's backing the campaign. Not sure where to start? Don't worry—we've rounded up some of our favorite breast cancer awareness beauty products to make it easier.

Lady Showbiz Pink Ribbon Polish
Having nailed the art of home pedicures over lockdown (geddit?), we’ve come to appreciate the value of good quality polishes in recent months. High-end nail varnishes often last longer and dry quicker than their cheaper alternatives, thanks to their superior paint and smoother consistency. If you’re looking to invest in one, we recommend trying a classic color, like Lady Showbiz’s Pink Sensation.
