I’ve been testing this device over the past month, working it once weekly into my existing routine (tailored to my dry, dehydrated skin that often looks dull and slightly puffy) My goal wasn’t an instant transformation, but a consistent improvement in glow and clarity.

What is the Shark FacialPro Glow + Depuffi system?

The Shark FacialPro Glow + DePuffi is a fairly new tool designed to be used for a once-a-week facial treatment. In this weekly 10-minute session, it cleanses, exfoliates, and clears congestion, finishing with thermal therapy to help reduce puffiness and revive glow - the same sequence you’d expect during a professional facial.

The tool's base (which houses a rechargeable battery pack) snaps onto two different heads: the DePuffi attachment, which alternates between hot and cold to sculpt and refresh tired or puffy skin, and a facial treatment attachment that handles everything else.

The latter works a bit like a very beginner-friendly Hydrafacial device (if you're unfamiliar with those, our beauty editor's Hydrafacial review can get you up to speed) The head has modes that exfoliate, extract, and infuse skincare into the skin to help lift impurities and make serums work harder.

There are four exfoliation tips to choose from - two for "normal" skin and two for sensitive types, including a slim version designed specifically for the T-zone (where congestion tends to linger most). Shark has also developed two formulas to pair with the device: an AHA & BHA pre-treatment gel, used before exfoliating to loosen debris, and a hydrating BHA serum designed to be infused directly into the skin for a glow boost.

Altogether, it’s a clever take on a facial-style routine - stepping through exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and depuffing without having to visit a clinic or use a hefty line-up of skincare devices.

How does the Shark FacialPro Glow + DePuffi work?

To start, I cleansed my skin before applying the Derm Detox exfoliating gel and filled the device’s tank with water, ready for the extraction step. Because my skin is naturally dry and can be a bit sensitive too, I opted for the gentler wide tip and began on the lowest intensity.

The good thing about the FacialPro Glow is that there aren’t many buttons on the tool itself, and everything is labelled clearly, so the set up of various parts is less intimidating than it may first appear.

Once switched on, the device glides across the skin with a gentle pull - similar to the satisfying, vacuum-like feeling you get during a Hydrafacial. I had two of those in the lead-up to my wedding recently, so I can vouch that the sensation is very similar, just dialled down to a level that feels comfortable for weekly use.

Stretching the skin slightly with my free hand helped the tool move smoothly. I’d actually recommend doing this from the start; after trying it both ways, using the stretch technique made a noticeable difference.

I spent the first two minutes with the wider tip, then swapped to the slimmer one to work around the sides of my nose and chin, where I tend to get congested. After three minutes, the device stopped automatically, and the tank revealed the result: murky water mixed with what Shark calls “floaties” (essentially, dirt and debris pulled from your pores). It's slightly gross, but also oddly satisfying - and a clear sign that the tool is working.

After emptying the tank, I repeated the process using the Hydro Infuse serum, which is pushed out through the device. My complexion looked a little bit flushed afterwards, but I didn't feel any discomfort at all.

To finish, I clipped on the DePuffi attachment and used the cooling mode around my eyes, cheekbones, and jawline. The guide recommends applying moisturiser before this step, so I used SkinCeuticals P-TIOX Serum for slip, then followed with SPF (Klira’s The DayScript, which is one of my current favourites).

The entire process took just under 10 minutes, felt surprisingly intuitive, and, after a slightly experimental first run, was noticeably easier the second time around.

Results of the Shark FacialPro Glow + Depuffi

The most noticeable change immediately after I used this tool for the first time was my skin's texture. It felt exceptionally smooth, and a stubborn patch of dryness on my forehead (one that hadn’t budged despite me continually moisturising it for over a week) vanished and has stayed away ever since. Result!

The hydration infusion step also made a nice, instant difference. My skin was noticeably more radiant - not oily, but properly quenched-looking, with that post-treatment glow. By week two of using this, my go-to lightweight foundation applied more evenly, and no longer settled around dry areas.

I only experienced a bit of redness post-extraction, which settled quickly when I used the DePuffi cooling setting. That bit also worked well on some morning puffiness under my eyes. This isn't a sculpting tool in the dramatic sense (at least not within four weeks), but it did calm my inflammation and deliver a good glow.

Overall, the biggest improvements I noticed were smoother texture, boosted hydration, and reduced puffiness, with a little bit of progress clearing some stubborn congestion. Considering this is a once-weekly device focused on maintenance rather than totally transforming the skin in one go, I think these results are pretty impressive and particularly well-suited to dry or dull skin.

What are the downsides of the Shark FacialPro Glow + Depuffi?

While the device itself feels well thought out, it’s worth noting that the treatments do rely on Shark’s own skincare formulas. I don’t mind that - as they pair well with the tool and are pleasant to use - but the bottles are small. You get 80ml of the Hydro Infuse serum and 20ml of the exfoliating gel, so if you use the device weekly, they won’t last long. A replenishment set costs £39.99, so there's an additional investment to factor in.

As for sculpting, the results were subtle. The DePuffi attachment works brilliantly for cooling, calming redness and taking down puffiness, but it doesn’t deliver a chiselled, lifted effect - at least not after my four weeks of testing.

If definition is your priority, this definitely feels more like a soothing device than a contouring tool; it makes the biggest difference in skin texture, hydration, and clarity rather than a dramatically lifted effect.

Shark Facial Pro Glow + Depuffi review: my verdict

So, what's the verdict? After using it for four weeks, I'd say the Shark FacialPro Glow + DePuffi has ascended into being more than a once-a-week facial for me.

The full 10-minute routine slots easily into my Sunday skincare ritual, but it’s the DePuffi attachment I’ve reached for most often. The cooling setting is brilliant for taking down morning puffiness and calming redness, while the warm mode is incredibly relaxing - especially as the temperatures have plummeted. I'll be honest, this has become an every-other-day thing for me.

Still, at nearly £300, it’s undeniably an investment, more so given that the skincare refills add an ongoing cost to the treatments. But then again what price can you put on visible improvements in texture, hydration and clarity without any downtime? I'll leave that one up to you.

It won’t replicate the intensity or level of results of a HydraFacial, but it comes surprisingly close for an at-home device. All in all, this is an easy and life-friendly way to keep skin smoother, calmer, and more radiant between professional treatments, rather than replacing them entirely.
