Now that we're pinning our hopes on booking in for a manicure very soon, Chrissy Teigen's nail art, which she revealed on Twitter, has stormed to the top of our wishlist.
The French manicure has made a comeback in recent years, having shrugged off its reputation for out-dated Barbie pink nail beds and Tippex-like tips.
The latest iterations are indeed more chic and understated. First there was the 'baby French' as popularised by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, which suddenly flooded our Instagram feeds during quarantine. And now the 'inverted French manicure' is gaining traction in celebrity circles just in time for salons re-opening.

While Megan Thee Stallion just showed off her jelly blue nod to the trend last week, it is Chrissy Teigen's more pared-back, relatable version that we're lusting over.
The model and author shared a photo of her manicure on Twitter following a request from a fan who caught a glimpse of Teigen's nails in a video she shared of her son, Miles.
Teigen caption the photo 'Moons for the moon!" and revealed long almond-shaped talons, buffed to perfection with a shiny near-nude base and white half moons painted along the cuticle line.
