Mariah Carey reveals she had a 'Rachel-haircut' - and even Jennifer Aniston approves

They're both known for their amazing long blonde locksnow Mariah Carey has excited fans by revealing she jumped on the 'Rachel haircut' bandwagonand even Jennifer Aniston is impressed.

With the Friends reunion airing this week, everyone has been reminiscing about the show and just how brilliant it was. While we've also been reminded of some of the trends the show inspired.

One of the most popular trends had to be the Rachel cut —a layered haircut that Jennifer Aniston sported back in the 90s and everyone copied. Even celebrities, it seems, including Mariah Carey, who posted her attempt via her Instagram page yesterday.

The global megastar took to her Instagram and shared a 90s throwback, showing her hair much shorter, with layers.

And while most of us may have missed the Friends reference the singer also added the caption: "#FBF A sad attempt at the Rachel hairdo 😂 #friends"

Fans went wild for the picture and Rachel reference, with over 150,000 people liking the photo and commenting on it.

While it also got the seal of approval from Jennifer Aniston herself, who commented on the picture with: 'LOVE IT" along with a fire sign emoji.

Other famous faces even commented on the picture, with actress Kerry Washington telling the singer: 'NAILED IT'.

Mariah isn't the only celebrity who has admitted to having the 'Rachel cut' - actress Jessica Alba has also revealed that Jennifer's popular haircut was the first she got at age 12.

This week has been a big one for the cast of Friends, with the reunion show airing all around the world—to millions of fans. 

Jennifer Aniston used the show's popularity to reveal an old clip of her on the Friends set. Sporting the 'Rachel haircut' she attempts to talk to a reporter about the show but is distracted by the rest of the cast who's making her laugh. Friends fans went wild for the never-before-seen clip, with over 11 million views of the video.
