Prince William has wished England’s Lionesses good luck ahead of the Euro 2022 football final in an Instagram video with his daughter, Princess Charlotte.

In the video, William, looking tanned after whisking his family away for their summer holiday at Balmoral Castle, has a grinning Princess Charlotte on his lap.

In the video, he tells the Lionesses they’ve done “amazingly well in the competition” and they were “rooting for [them] all the way.”

Finishing the video, Charlotte chimes in with an adorable message, saying “Good luck and I hope you win” as she waves to the camera.

Charlotte stole the show from William, with fans flooding the comments with praise for her sweet she is.

One wrote, “Be still my heart” while another exclaimed, “What a little darling!”

England will take on eight-time champions Germany later today (July 31) in a bid to pick up their first major trophy in the history of the women’s game.

William and Charlotte aren’t the only royals to send the Lionesses into battle with a good luck message, though.

The Queen’s Guard put on a regal display for the squad, playing a selection of soccer themed songs in a triumphant, patriotic display.

In a social media post, the Royal Family uploaded the video of the Queen’s Guard outside of Buckingham Palace playing songs typically associated with England’s soccer games, including Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and the theme tune from Match of the Day, a BBC sports programme.

Posting to the official Royal Family social media accounts, the caption read, “There was some special music at today's Changing the Guard...”

"Wishing the very best of luck to the Lionesses in the Women's Euro 2022 final tomorrow!"

Proving that the women’s team has inspired a rush of soccer fever throughout the family, Clarence House, the official social media handle for Prince Charles and Camilla, left a comment on the post wishing them the best of luck and saying “we are willing you on.”
