Comfortable, easy to slip on and machine washable - what's not to love about these Skechers white trainers?
I don't have time to be worrying about whether I've worn trainers around the house enough before the first outing
Being able to slip into these trainers without fiddling with laces every time is a real bonus, and the comfort levels are excellent. I could wear them all day, and knowing they are machine washable is the cherry on the cake.

Why you can trust Woman & Home
The majority of the footwear I own is made up of various types of trainers. A pair of platform trainers from adidas, a trusty pair of Converse high tops, New Balance running trainers... the list goes on. However, it has been some time since I've had a reliable and classic white trainer to add to my collection.

Skechers is an American brand that was founded in California in the early 1990s. Popular for its lifestyle and performance footwear that features comfort technology to support the heels and arches, it caters for wider feet and even offers slip-in styles that don't require lacing up - plenty of useful factors. Not just part of the trainer market, Skechers also offers sandals, boat shoes, wedges, boots and even slippers, too.
Hunting down the best white trainers is no mean feat. With the desire to find a pair that I can reach for time and time again, I was keen to get my feet into the Skechers slip-ins Jade style. So I have tried and tested them with different outfits, on a range of terrains and for full days on my feet. Here's how I got on.
Skechers Slip-ins Jade: comfort & support
When putting these trainers on, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, true to what it says on the box, they are hands-free slip-ins. No loosening of the laces was required, and I didn't even need to bend down to help my foot in; they simply slipped on, and I was ready to go. This is a huge benefit for anyone who has back issues, can't bend down easily or is simply in such a hurry to get out the door that laces seem like one too many things to navigate.
I'm sure I'm not the only one guilty of trying to squeeze my feet into other trainers that are laced up without undoing them, and this can stretch and damage the design of the shoe. So, for the Jade to be designed to slip on is a big perk!
These also boast the heel pillow, which is designed to hold your foot in place. This is important in keeping the foot comfortable with the slip-in design and preventing any rubbing and movement of the shoe when you walk. I found that the trainers stayed comfortably in place and that I had zero issues with loosening or feeling like I needed to tighten them throughout the day.
When it came to walking around for the day in these trainers, the air-cooled memory foam really does do the job of keeping your feet cushioned and supported. No aching of the balls of my feet, and I didn't even need to break them in - this is an important factor for me. I don't have time to be worrying about whether my shoes are going to rub or if I've worn them around the house enough before the first outing to the pavement. So feeling confident to wear them out and about without a pack of plasters in my bag at the ready is a bonus.

Skechers Slip-ins Jade: Style
To be able to have both ultimate comfort and a stylish design is a win-win, so when I saw these Skechers, I had to give them a try. I particularly love that such a comfortable and accessible trainer is also such a sleek shape. They don't look like typical slip-on trainers, either, as they have laces.
The Jade is a real wardrobe staple that will go with any outfit and can be worn in plenty of different scenarios. I have worn this style with jeans and casual trousers for popping out, running errands or just day to day. However, I also paired this trainer with tailored trousers, skirts and dresses for a smart casual workwear look. They are a really versatile choice that could trump any other option in my trainer collection if I needed a quick option that I can guarantee would work with whatever I had on at the time.
The all-white colour makes them fresh and modern, while the 1 1/4 inch sole adds a slight lift without feeling like a flatform. I like that the Skechers logo and discreet stitch detail on the back are in red, and that there is also some minimal silver stitch detailing on the sides, too. These little details all help to elevate the overall design.
The Jade comes in other colourways too; however, they aren't part of the slip-in range, so would need to be laced up like a normal trainer. I have also got the Skechers Jade Lustrous Luxury in my trainer collection, which is fun with the pop of leopard print on the heel, and, although you can't just slip them on, they are extremely comfortable in all the same ways that I have mentioned above. It was owning this pair that really made me fall in love with the Skechers brand!
Skechers Slip-ins Jade: Cleaning & care
I was happy to discover that this style is suitable for machine washing, which makes life easier when it comes to cleaning them. I also feel less worried about wearing such a white style outdoors because if they do get a bit dirty, chucking them in the machine is an easy fix. Just remove the laces, you can wash these separately, and pop the shoes into laundry bags to keep them protected during the cycle. Using a cool wash and then letting them air dry after will give the best results.
When I get any small marking on my trainers, I find that warm water on a damp cloth can often do the trick. I like to try and keep my white trainers looking as fresh as possible!

Skechers Slip-ins Jade: Verdict
All in all, I can't really fault this trainer style. I found them to be delightfully comfortable, and they tick all the boxes when it comes to style and aesthetics. Although a white trainer tends to get dirtier a little faster than other colours, it is satisfying to know that these can be easily cleaned.
The comfort will be what has me reaching for these over and over again. You can't beat the feeling of happily cushioned feet when you've got a long day ahead of you. If you're in the market for a new pair of white trainers, I would say definitely give these a go. I've certainly not been disappointed!

The same style as the slip-in Jade, but without the slip-in ability. Although you need to do the laces to this pair, the shape is the same, and the green monochromatic design is super stylish. This classic style is still boasting the comfort technology, so you'll be walking with a spring in your step.
If you're fancying a funky flatform then these might just be the trainers for you. Comfortable thanks to the memory foam insoles, and stylish with the elevated sole and navy/pink colouring. The metallic detail on the back is a fun addition. The Academy-Hi is also available in other colours!
The Summits Artistry Chic Sneaker is another woman&home favourite. Fashion Writer Molly Smith said the memory foam insole makes them an "absolute joy" to walk in. They're available in several different colour options.
