Let's give credit where it's due: a viral TikTok hack has solved our pedicure problems, and we're all in favor of its effectiveness...and most importantly, simplicity. So what's required? A tampon. Pass the Playtex, would you please?
TikToker @ag380gtmgmt has enlightened all those attempting a DIY mani and pedi with a trick so simple, you'll wonder why you never thought to give it a try before. Rather than run the risk of ruining your nails while removing toenail polish, she suggests swapping cotton balls and tissues for a tampon. Genius, right?
"Pour you some nail polish remover in the lid here and soak it up," @ag380gtmgmt says in her now-viral video. "You can take your nail polish off without messing up your fingernails."
Our minds are blown and our manicures are grateful a touch-up won't be necessary.

More from woman&home:
@ag380gtmgmt has raked in over 85,000 likes, one million views, and plenty of praise for her beauty trick. "This is genius," one user commented. "Qtips are way too small, and u use too many. This is definitely better!" Meanwhile, another user responded, "Now I've seen everything." The common finding amongst commentators: if you're planning to attempt this hack, tampons from Dollar Tree are the way to go. Any low-cost brand is effective.
If you've chosen a polish from the new Essie Summer Collection, you'll definitely want an effective removal method. The gorgeous hues—including the likes of Tangerine Tease and Zest Has Yet To Come—are incredibly bold and bright, so you'll need a little TLC when it comes time to remove the color. That tampon will sweep off all the remnants of a tropical toenail.
Regardless of what brand you're using, be sure to explore our essential nail care tips that will make you feel like you're in a salon, even if you're painting your toes on the bathroom floor at home.
