What Prince William and Prince Harry really said to each other at Prince Philip’s funeral
A lip reader claims the brothers focused on their grandfather
Prince William and Prince Harry spoke to each other following Prince Philip’s moving funeral on Saturday and now a lip reader has revealed just what the brothers discussed.
- Prince William and Prince Harry reunited in person on Saturday for the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral, over a year since Harry stepped back as a senior member of the Royal Family.
- A lip reader has claimed that the brothers had a heartfelt conversation that focused on their beloved grandfather.
- In other royal news, the Queen could move permanently to Windsor Castle to be near Prince Philip.
Prince William and Prince Harry may have been surrounded by rumors of a so-called rift in recent months, but they came together on Saturday to honor their beloved grandfather, Prince Philip. The Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle on April 9, has been described by Harry as a “legend of banter”, whilst William recently paid tribute with a touching photo.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s deeply moving funeral featured many elements specifically requested by him and was attended by 30 guests, including the brothers, though Harry’s wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was reportedly advised against traveling by her doctor due to her pregnancy. The Queen was sadly forced to sit alone for the service and her family was all spaced out inside St George’s Chapel in Windsor due to Covid-19 restrictions.
William and Harry, who were “cleverly” separated by their cousin Peter Phillips as they walked behind the Duke's coffin to the chapel, sat apart from each other inside. However, the brothers were seen speaking together outside afterward - and it seems they focused on their grandfather’s final wishes.

What did Prince William and Prince Harry say at Prince Philip’s funeral?
As reported by Express.co.uk, lipreaders have claimed that when William took off his mask after the funeral, he said: “Yes it was great, wasn’t it."
"It was as he wanted", Harry supposedly replied.

The brothers also spoke to the Archbishop of Canterbury and William is said to have later remarked to Harry: “Absolutely beautiful service, ah, the music”, according to interpreters.
Soon after this exchange William and Harry began walking back up the hill towards Windsor Castle, accompanied by Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Their reuniting comes after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Oprah interview aired last month.
In it, Harry described William and their father Charles as “trapped” in the royal institution. And though reports suggested that he had spoken to them both since, these talks were said to be “not productive”.
However, despite this, it seems that their grief at the loss of their grandfather might well have brought them closer together.

The Mirror reports that body language analyst Adrianne Carter perceived them to be at ease.
“Kate seemed to take the lead in chatting, but when the brothers started to walk together it was entirely natural with no sign of stress or discord in their companionship. There was no forced show and no sign of avoiding each other”, she said.
“In fact, William paused so Harry could walk up the hill with them. It looks to me like grief has reunited them.”
