Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just released their annual Christmas card which features their youngest child, Lilibet Diana.

Lilibet Diana who was born earlier this year has not been seen by the public just yet, so this Christmas card marks the first time that many people have been able to see what the young royal looks like.

In a photo released by photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked happy with their two young children as Meghan gently lifted Lilibet over her head and the family laughed at their daughter's delighted expression.

Although Meghan Markle treated fans to a sneak peek at Lilibet Diana in a surprise birthday video and a baby photo of Lilibet was circulated to the Royal Family via WhatsApp, this is the first time that the public has been able to glimpse the new addition to the royal family.

The photographer captioned the post, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archie and Lilibet. This is one of those rare and special projects, that one is fortunate enough to be a part of."

"To be able to continue the story of this family whom I first photographed as an engaged couple, then on the day of their wedding, as a married couple and now seeing their love manifest into two beautiful children, has been a delightful honor."

The photographer then added, "this day with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was one such joyous experience, and one that I feel extremely privileged to have been invited to capture. X"

Fans loved this image of the family and many commented with delight as they noticed how much Archie was already taking after his parents. "So cute!!!!! Archie is Harry’s twin that red hair!!! ❤️" said one commenter. "Archie coming through with the 3c ginger curls" said another royal fan on Twitter.

Fans have noted the youngster's ginger locks before and many have suggested that Archie takes after his grandmother Princess Diana who had many redheads in her family.

The Duke and Duchess looked relaxed in this image as Prince Harry and the children all opted for bare feet and the whole family wore blue and white clothing with relaxed jeans for this first official photo as a family.

It has been revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan also wrote a sweet message about their daughter in their Christmas card. "This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family,” said the Duke and Duchess. The card then took on a more serious tone as the couple used their position to empower others in need.

"As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families—from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave," said the Duke and Duchess.

The royals will not be traveling to Windsor Castle to spend Christmas with the Queen, and have elected to stay in California for the festive season.

It is thought that the Queen will now spend the holiday with Prince Charles and Camilla as Princess Anne has canceled as her husband has tested positive for COVID-19.

However, Harry and Meghan's children will still be involved in the royal festivities as it has been revealed that Prince William and Kate have sent Archie and Lilibet some Christmas gifts to their niece and nephew.
