Meghan Markle has treated fans to a first look at Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, two months after she was welcomed into the world last June.
The surprise shot of the Queen's 11th great-grandchild was released in an exciting collaboration video between the Duchess of Sussex and the hilarious Melissa McCarthy on Wednesday.
The clip, which premiered on Meghan and Harry's Archewell website, shows the two Hollywood actresses come face-to-face over Zoom to discuss the Suits star's 40th birthday plans—and to enjoy a little harmless banter. After some much-needed catching up, the Duchess proposed her idea to mark the milestone occasion—40x40 (opens in new tab), a mentorship program to support women re-entering the workforce.
By asking 40 of her close friends to volunteer 40 minutes of their time to help others find employment, she hopes to create a knock-on effect that could see millions of women find their feet again after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before the conversation even began though, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice a minor—yet significant—detail on Meghan's desk. It appears the Duchess has placed three framed family photos at her workspace, including one of Lilibet Diana. The black-and-white snap seems to show Prince Harry holding the couple's daughter and leaning down to kiss her forehead.
On the right of Lilibet's portrait stands what looks to be a picture of Archie, while on the left, viewers will see a woman—possibly Meghan or her mother, Doria—holding an older child that again looks to be Archie.
Baby Lilibet has been a major source of interest ever since she was born on 4 June 2021, with fans desperate for a sneak peek at the latest addition to the Royal Family. Lilibet was welcomed to the Sussex family four years after her parent's spectacular royal wedding.
Who could forget the moment they emerged from St George's Chapel after tying the knot; Meghan Markle's wedding dress and veil draped elegantly behind them on the steps? Now they have become proud parents of two and Lilibet has enjoyed a relatively private start to life, with Meghan and Harry intent on keeping the infant out of the spotlight in her early years.

The couple flouted royal tradition by withholding photos of Lilibet from the media following her birth and have managed to shield her from the prying eyes of paparazzi outside their $14 million Santa Barbara mansion in California. She has, however, been introduced to her British relatives across the Atlantic Ocean on camera. A few weeks after she was born, it was revealed that Meghan Markle circulated a baby photo of Lilibet to the Royal Family via WhatsApp to ensure they didn't miss out on the special moment.
The two-month-old is also no stranger to video communication, having been born at a time when Zooming has overtaken in-person contact. In fact, the Queen met Lilibet for the first time in an 'exciting' video call with Meghan and Harry after she returned home from the high-end Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Despite rumors of tensions between the expatriate couple and Her Majesty, it has been reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "couldn't wait" to share the news of the birth of their daughter with Her Majesty.
