'Why not be in the place that you love to sit and chat to people?'

When Helen Mirren isn't behind the wheel of an expensive sports car in The Fast and the Furious, she's relaxing in the bath...and simultaneously appearing on a talk show. How's that for killing two birds with one stone?

Jimmy Fallon welcomed the acclaimed actress on The Tonight Show on June 17, and she decided it'd be best to conduct the virtual interview from her favorite spot, suds and all.

"That's the brilliant thing about Zoom," she confessed. "I was thinking, 'You know why not be in the place that you love to sit and chat to people?' I love to have a chat to my husband while I'm sitting in the bath, so why not do it to the whole of America?"

Albeit taken aback, Jimmy did credit Dame Helen Mirren for pulling off this incredible move. While ensuring her bubbles did not pop, Helen took the time to answer questions about her nature-inspired Instagram posts—one of which includes her shooing a black bear—the possibility of earning a Grammy, and the new action-packed Fast and the Furious installment.

She was just as fabulous as ever in her spa-like oasis, enjoying her chat with Jimmy with her hair pulled back and bubbles surrounding her.

Perhaps we can credit the star's bold move to her lively personality. Just recently, Helen explained why she hates anti-aging in an interview.

“I take great issue with the term, actually," she revealed to O, The Oprah Magazine in 2020. "You can’t avoid aging. The way I see it, you have two choices in life: You can either get older, or die. And I want to continue to see what life has in store."

She's certainly living life to the fullest—even while enjoying those moments of R&R.
