It's officially Amazon Prime Day and, for me, that means a chance to stock up on all my beauty essentials that I use throughout the year.

While I find the best Amazon Prime Day deals tend to be on home and health products, there is usually a really good selection of stellar beauty products on offer too, from Dyson hair dryer and Shark hair dryer deals to ghd deals and Elemis deals. And with the event taking place across this week, from Tuesday 8th until Friday 11th, there are plenty of opportunities to snap up a saving.

To cut through the noise, I'm sharing the few beauty products that I always wait to buy on Amazon Prime Day, from my everyday skincare essentials to the best sunscreens to take on holiday.

It's also light and comfortable to hold and gives a close shave that preps my skin perfectly for using my best IPL hair removal machine.

How to find the best beauty deals

Aleesha Badkar, Digital Beauty Editor at woman&home
Aleesha Badkar

Our Beauty eCommerce Editor Aleesha has been covering Amazon Prime Day and all of the retailer's big sale events since 2020. She's tried hair tools from all major brands, including almost every ghd tool, but has a particular savvy in skincare and fragrance. With years of beauty product testing experience, she always knows what to recommend.

Let's be honest, seeing that red percentage discount is enough to sway most of us but when it comes to sales events, sometimes its not always about how much money you're saving and instead about the quality of the product you’re investing in. Whether you're saving £5 or £50, every penny counts - especially once you’ve popped all your regular essentials into your basket, the savings are sure to add up. As for making the most of deals, it's wise to add up how much your go-to beauty products usually set you back to see whether you’re actually bagging yourself a good deal, before you hit purchase.

While beauty sales only happen on the rare occasion, when they do you can expect to see some significant savings. That said, if you've eyed up a decent discount, don't spend too long toying with they idea as they disappear quickly.
