The Queen is set to attend a historic royal event today alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Health permitting, the Queen will attend the 'joint christening' of her two newest great-grandchildren

The monarch took part in her first face-to-face royal engagement in over a month this week.
- Now, Her Majesty is reported to be attending the joint christening of August
- Brooksbank, firstborn child of granddaughter Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack, and Lucas Tindall, Zara and Mike Tindall's third child.
- Though her attendance hinges on health, it is reported that the monarch plans to attend the momentous occasion – taking place today in Windsor – accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
- This follows royal news that Sarah Ferguson has shared an important update on Her Majesty's health.
The Queen has been forced to pull out of a string of engagements in the past month following doctors' advice; including the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, and last week's Remembrance Sunday services(the latter being an event she had previously missed just six times in her 69-year reign).
But there's one very important occasion that Her Majesty is determined to attend today, according to The Sun newspaper.
It is, of course, the reported 'joint christening' of her two newest great-grandchildren, believed to be taking place today at All Saints Chapel in Great Windsor Park, Berkshire.
Though the tabloid reports that the monarch will make a decision and consult with her personal doctor in advance, if she does attend, it is likely to be in the company of family members including Prince William and Kate Middleton.
A royal source told the outlet, "Her Majesty is very keen to be there as she knows how important this is for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"It’s set to be a heartwarming family occasion and a time of real celebration after what has been some challenging times for certain royals of late, including the Queen herself."

They added, "She is keen to attend such a wonderful event after the great personal disappointment of missing last Sunday’s Remembrance events."

The joint christening is thought to be a royal first, with the ceremony set to be led by Canon Martin Poll, chaplain To Great Windsor Park.
The landmark event will take place at the private Grade-II listed church that forms part of the Royal Lodge house, the former Windsor residence of the Queen mother. Currently, it's home to Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's son August was due to be christened in July, but the event was canceled due to Covid.
Now, baby August is participating in a small part of history, as he joins his second cousin Lucas Philip, the 8-month-old son of Mike and Zara Tindall, in being the first royal babies to be baptized together.
It remains to be seen whether the Royal household will release photographs of the event, though if previous royal christenings are anything to go by, royalists are likely to be treated to some official portraits from the exciting day.
