There may still be a few months to go until the Duchess of Sussex gives birth to her first child with Prince Harry, but it looks as though her sister-in-law Catherine is already feeling pretty excited about the new arrival in the family.
At an engagement in Leicester yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge was taking part in a walkabout, where she chatted to swarms of fans who had gathered to meet her and Prince William.
And one fan’s video of their interaction with the Duchess was posted on a Meghan fan page – revealing a sweet discussion about the upcoming Sussex baby.
When asked if she was excited about the new baby, 36-year-old Catherine replied, “Yeah, absolutely.”
She also went on to reveal why it’s so special – as it means her three children will have yet another cousin to play with.
Catherine told fans, “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies, and a cousin for George and Charlotte, as well, and Louis. It’s really special.”
The Duchess of Cambridge also opened up about her own brood when asked by another onlooker, admitting that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are already getting excited for the festive period – and have even been decorating the family’s home at Kensington Palace, Apartment 1A.
Catherine replied to the waiting crowd, “They’re doing well, thank you. They are getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs, and Christmas trees are going up.”
She also offered up an adorable update on her youngest son, who has rarely been seen in public so far. She confessed, “Louis is getting bigger, I can’t believe it’s been seven months now. He’s getting to be a big boy.” So sweet!
The royal’s comments come just a day after rumours circulated about hers and Meghan’s reportedly ‘tense’ relationship, with various royal sources claiming that the Duchesses are ‘very different people’. However, it seems Catherine has quashed any kind of speculation of unease with these lovely comments about Harry and Meghan’s baby!
The Duchess of Cambridge was speaking in Leicester, after visiting the Leicester City stadium with her husband in order to pay tribute to the victims of the recent helicopter crash there, including the football club’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabh.
Prince William knew Vichai well, and he and Catherine joined his family to lay a wreath at the stadium, in remembrance.
Later on in the day, William and Catherine headed to Leicester University, where they met with the crowds and students, before, taking a tour of the facilities there.
