Wordle 494 has infuriated a number of players with a new tricky challenge, but what is the meaning and definition of today's word?
Wordle 494 has stumped a number of players who struggled to work out the tricky challenge set by the New York Times on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Wordle has been known to throw players a few curveballs, and words such as; leery, coyly, quart, and agape have caused a lot of frustration for fans in the past. Yet again, on October 26, fans have been completely stumped by another tricky challenge that ruined many players streaks, and had others complaining that they had never even heard the word before!

The Worlde answer for October 26, was 'flout'. This word caused a lot of confusion and frustration for players who were not totally familiar with this word. Many took to social media to complain about the difficulty level of this challenge. Even the players who managed to solve the challenge, complained that the word was too difficult and ruined their scores.
"I had no idea that this word existed Wordle 494 5/6," said one player who struggled to solve this puzzle.
"Well, my streak has ended Wordle 494 X/6," said another player who could not solve this particular challenge and subsequently ruined their streak.
"Wordle 494 5/6 This was a new word for me. I definitely have to change my starter word, will have to pick it this weekend. #Wordle #Wordle494," said another who was totally unaware of the word 'flout'.

Other players did not struggle with the challenge but insisted that their ability to solve the puzzle was a complete stroke of good luck. "Now this is a fluke Wordle 494 2/6," said one player.
