dandy definition
Many players struggled with this challenge because they were simply unfamiliar with this term. The word is not particularly common and mostly appears in films or TV shows more than it does in everyday life. So what does the word dandy mean?
The Cambridge dictionary defines the word 'dandy' as, "a man, especially in the past, who dressed in expensive, fashionable clothes and was very interested in his own appearance."
Alternatively, the word can mean good and is often used in the phrase 'fine and dandy'. The dictionary adds, "this is often said as a joke when really something is not good or you are not happy about it." For example, "Well, that's just dandy if you happen to have half a million dollars to spare."
