The Sex and the City reboot is on its way - but it looks like it will be missing a lot of familiar faces.

Fans were devastated to learn that Samantha Jones has been officially been written out of the script for And Just Like That, as well as a number of other major characters. While the final lineup has yet to be announced, there's one ex-cast member who wants producers to know he's onboard to reprise his role.

Justin Theroux, who appeared on the show on two separate occasions, has revealed that he's totally up to join the iconic ladies for a third time.

“Yeah, of course, I’d love to,” he told E! News. “If they wanted to have me, I’d do Sex and the City again.”

The Lady and the Tramp star gushed about his time on the series, an experience he now believes to be a ‘rite of passage’ for younger actors in New York. "I got to work with the beautiful and hilarious Valerie Harper, who I love, and of course Sarah Jessica, who's such a shiny penny and so much fun to work with, so great,” he said.

Justin worked on the hit HBO show twice, playing an arrogant author named Jared on a 1998 episode, before returning the following year as Vaughan, a short-story writer. He has since clocked up an impressive Hollywood resumé, landing roles in critically-acclaimed movies like Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and The Girl on the Train. He is also an esteemed screenwriter, contributing a number of blockbuster films, including Tropic Thunder and Ironman.

Despite this lofty background, it doesn’t look like Justin will be asked to return.

"Let me check my email or see if anyone called. I still have no email from Sarah Jessica,” he joked.

Justin isn't the only Sex and the City star who hasn't been invited back for the reboot. Mr. Big, Carrie's longtime love interest, will reportedly also be absent from the 10 episode series. Another actor predicted to miss the revival is David Eigenberg, who plays Miranda’s husband Steve.
