Adele surprises fans by sharing a teaser of her new song during an impromptu Instagram live

The pop star shared a snippet of her new single Easy on Me, during the social media appearance

Adele left her fans shocked and excited yesterday when she jumped on an impromptu Instagram live to say hello and share a clip of her new single.

The singer, 33, is due to release her first single Easy on Me, from her new album, this coming Friday, but obviously couldn't wait to share it with fans.

The Someone Like You singer, also revealed, in an interview with Vogue, that her forthcoming album was written in a bid to explain to her son why she divorced his father.

Adele, who seemed excited as she appeared on the social media platform, live from her California home yesterday, said before she played the 45-second clip of her new song that she, "may get in trouble for playing it."

The pop icon, who had her blonde locks straight, nodded her head to the powerful ballad as she played the first verse. Over 100,000 fans logged on to listen, with thousands responding with heart emojis and sending her messages.  

Even her famous fans, such as Alicia Keys, sent her messages on the social media platform as she shared the snippet of her song, which had originally been teased via Twitter last week.

Adele also gave an exclusive interview to Vogue, where she spoke about her forthcoming album, and why she wrote it for her son, "I wanted to explain to him through this record, when he's in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness."

She married Simon Konecki, a charity CEO in 2018, after dating him for numerous years and having a son together, Angelo, 8.

Along with the interview in Vogue, Adele also appeared in a very glamourous photoshoot, photos which she shared via her Instagram page this week.

While the Rolling in the Deep singer also went on to explain the lyrics of her new song, Easy on Me: "It's not like anyone's having a go at me, but it's like, I left the marriage. Be kind to me as well.

"It was the first song I wrote for the album and then I didn't write anything else for six months after because I was like, 'OK, well, I've said it all."
