Adele has condemned the 'revenge body' rumors about her weight loss, calling the notion that she changed her appearance because of her divorce 'ridiculous'.

In her first interview in five years, the Hello singer spoke candidly to Vogue about her upcoming music, her romantic relationships, and of course, her health transformation. The exciting exclusive comes amid global hype surrounding the highly-anticipated Adele's 30 album, which has been teased around the world with mysterious signs

Adele's weight loss secrets became a hot topic earlier this year after the British vocalist shared a photo of her looking noticeably slimmer on social media. Her new look prompted a surge of attention into her personal life, as fans clamored to find out just how the star managed to lose a whopping seven stone (100lbs) following her high-profile divorce from Simon Konecki

Many speculated that intermittent fasting and the Sirtfood diet were the cornerstones of her weight loss, while others claimed she ate as little as 1,000 calories a day to shed the pounds. After months of staying quiet on the matter, the Grammy-award-winner is finally here to set the record straight.

“No, ain’t done that [Sirtfood],” she said. “No intermittent fasting. Nothing.”

For Adele, vigorous exercise—rather than rigid dieting—has been the foundation of her weight loss journey, helping her to torch fat while also building muscle. She now works out “three times a day”, lifting weights in the morning and hiking or boxing in the afternoon, before winding down for bed with some cardio in the evening.

“It was because of my anxiety,” she explained. “Working out, I would just feel better. It was never about losing weight, it was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone.”

Adele was also quick to shut down the ‘revenge body’ rumors that followed her weight loss revelation. Some media outlets had suggested the singer had trimmed down because of her divorce—a theory she can't help but scoff at. “Oh my god. Suck my dick!” she said.

“It’s ridiculous. I think it’s that people love to portray a divorced woman as spinning out of control, like, ‘Oh she must be crackers. She must’ve decided she wants to be a ho.’ Because what is a woman without a husband? It’s bullshit,” she added.

We have to agree!
