Boden's iconic Whitstable trench coat is now in the sale (but you have to be quick!)

Boden’s Whitstable Trench Coat is a total must have when it comes to British fashion.

The cult favourite is regularly dubbed as things like the ‘mac of dreams’ by Boden lovers and it seems to be a wardrobe staple among many stylish bloggers.

The ultra autumnal piece channels some seriously patriotic vibes, complete with its Union Jack patterned lining and navy blue stripe detailing.

The classic beige mac design is kept simple with a stylish double breasted cut, large collar, side pockets and chunky navy buttons and is made with 100% cotton.

In good news for those who may have had their eye on this for a while, the coat is now reduced on the Boden website.

The Whitstable usually retails at £160 but is currently available for a huge bargain price of £112.

Understandably, it seems to be selling out rather fast, but sizes 12 to 22 are still available to order.

Meanwhile, the navy option of the piece has proved even more popular, and is now only available in a size 16 and 20.

This comes after Boden launched a coat collection inspired by important British women from history earlier this month.

The brand is celebrating historical women from different areas of the work with the new range.

With the slogan 'Behind every great coat is a great woman', the 30-piece collection aims to 'embrace British creativity'.

'Our coats are anything but ordinary,' says Boden, 'that’s why we’ve named them after remarkable historical British women who dared to be different. Because being brave never goes out of style.'

Each coat in the retailer’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection is named after an iconic woman, with aspects of the coat designed to reflect the woman or what she did.

Included in the range is the Austen Coat, named after writer Jane Austen as well as the Brontë Duffle.
