If there's one person whose word we're always willing to trust when it comes to skincare and wellness, it's Liz Earle.
The beauty and skincare guru has been writing about the all-important topics for over 30 years, and has of course set up the hugely successful, global skincare brand Liz Earle, whose products - include some of the best eye creams, cleansers and moisturisers that we've come across.
But the skincare expert certainly doesn't let her busy life show on her skin, so just how does she do it?
Speaking on ITV talkshow This Morning, Liz revealed she relies on kefir to keep her skin and gut in good health - but the segment left Phil and Holly in hysterics.
While explaining the benefits of the yoghurt drink, the expert described it saying, "If you imagine yoghurt wearing superman underpants, that's what kefir is."
Phil and Holly could be seen in the studio trying to contain their reaction...
It's not the first time the beauty guru has spoken about the benefits of Kefir. During an interview with This Morning back in 2018, Liz praised kefir for being the simple secret for maintaining a glowing complexion and reduce signs of ageing.
Speaking to the show, the mother-of-five shared, "There's no one product [to reduce signs of ageing] but I do think probiotics are really important as they can help prevent inflammation - and inflammation is one of the things that is ageing.
"I start my day with a glass of kefir, a live super-yoghurt drink packed with powerfully beneficial probiotics, and I find this gives me a real boost in the morning and has made a big difference to my overall health and wellbeing."
Kefir, which is usually consumed in milk form, has been highly praised for its brilliant health benefits. The probiotics in the drink are credited for maintaining a healthy gut, and could ease some symptoms of IBS including bloating and cramping.
And when it comes to our skin, it's just as good. As Liz mentioned, the anti-inflammatory properties in the drink can work wonders on acne, eczema, and all sorts of skin conditions. The drink works on reducing inflammation in your gut, which can have great knock-on effect on your skin and the rest of your body.
Liz continued in the interview to share another pro tip for looking after yourself, revealing that she loves lavender oil for all sorts of complaints. The expert that squeezing a few drops of the essential oil on your best pillow can help you sleep and relax for a more peaceful night.
She shared, "The one item I always take abroad with me is lavender oil, just a little bottle of pure essential lavender oil.
"There are so many uses. Number one, it helps you sleep, just a little drop on your pillow. It reminds me of home when I smell it.
"You can also use it neat on the skin in small amounts for scrapes and grazes and a few drops in the bath helps combat jet lag and tension. It's just a little bottle of wonder magic!"
We'll definitely be taking on board Liz's pro-wellness tips.
