We all know stress and anxiety can wreck havoc on our skin - even the best foundation is no match for living stress-free - so we were overjoyed to hear there's a product that caters for both our skincare and makeup needs, while targeting the signs of stress on our skin.

There’s no denying that 2020 has been tough and unfortunatelystress seems to be a common trait for most of us. Anxiety, isolation, poor diet, increased screen time... and when you receive a ‘you look tired’ comment after getting eight hours sleep you know that stress is taking its toll on your skin.

Tired, dull and just looking a bit meh. Sound familiar? This is because when stress is constant, the production of cortisol (the stress-releasing hormone) doesn’t switch off, so your skin ends up without enough recovery time at night. This results in a slowing down of your skin’s regeneration processes.

But to the rescue is Trinny London BFF De-Stress Tinted Serum the long awaited (10,000 people signed up to the wait-list before they knew what the product even was) skincare/makeup hybrid, a hard-working beauty hero promising even coverage as well as a slew of skincare payouts. And it would appear that this product is already making waves, with some rather impressive test results.

84% of testers said their natural skin looked significantly better after using the product for 21 days.

"For years, I have been researching how to fight the signs of stress on my skin," says Trinny Woodall, founder and CEO. "The effects make my face feel tired, lacking in energy and haggard. There was nothing out there really addressing the issue with the level of ingredients needed to target stress, so I set about developing a formula with enough punch to actually achieve proper results."

Containing NP-TriOXTechnology which combines five times the active concentration Neurophroline, the ingredient responsible for suppressing the production of cortisol in the cells.

It also hashyaluronic acid to plump and smooth, anda triple broad-spectrum antioxidant to boost skin's antioxidant balance and stimulate collagen production to defend and protect the skin from daily life stressors. And to top it all off, you get buildable, non-greasy and non-streaky coverage.

What’s the Trinny London BFF De-Stress Tinted Serum like to use?

Really, really lovely. Trinny recommended I apply using my fingers so I could really ‘feel’ it going on and work it into my skin like I would a serum. I only need a single layer (I used the shade, Lucy) and applied mostly to areas of redness; my chin, around my nose and on my cheeks. It felt light and comfortable, but disguised uneven skin tone with a radiant finish.

If you’re used to a full-coverage foundation you’ll probably want to double-up application. What I was impressed most about is when I looked in the mirror a few hours later my skin looked better than when I first applied De-Stress. Usually I’d reach for a concealer for a touch up by now, but there was no need. Even my husband said ‘you look nice’ at dinner - and that was after a frazzled afternoon at soft play with my 3-year old son. Miracle worker? Quite possibly.
