Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell are officially new parents! The couple welcomed their newborn daughter on their wedding anniversary.

In an official announcement on Instagram, Bindi posted a photo of her family with the touching caption, “Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter.”

The couple officially named their daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell and in her announcement, Bindi explained the special meaning behind her daughter’s name.

“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”

The name was not pre-planned either, in a past interview with The Bump, Bindi explained that she and Chandler were waiting to meet their daughter before officially picking out a name.

“We are waiting to meet her before we decide on a name,” said Bindi. “We want to hold her and make sure the name that we choose fits her perfectly. We have been looking through family history on both my side and Chandler's side for family name inspiration. Once she arrives I think we'll know exactly what to name her."

This isn’t the first time that Bindi has honored her late father. Back in January, when she was in her third-trimester, Bindi and Chandler recreated a photo that her late father and mother, Terri Irwin, had originally taken back when they were expecting Bindi’s younger brother, Robert.

In the original photo, Steve and a younger Bindi are seen kissing Terri’s pregnant stomach and in the recreation, Bindi stands as her mother once did while Chandler kisses her stomach.
