Zahara Jolie-Pitt borrows Angelina Jolie's 2014 Oscars dress for red carpet event

Angelina Jolie’s 2014 Oscar dress was worn by her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt last night as the star took her children to the red carpet premiere of the new Marvel movie Eternals.

Angelina looked stunning as she joined her children on the red carpet for her new film Eternals. Although earlier this year, Angelina Jolie debuted a platinum blonde hairstyle for her role as Thena in the new Marvel film, she reverted back to her dark brown long hairstyle that she paired with an olive-brown off the shoulder dress. 

Angelina looked stunning, but all eyes were on her children on this occasion as she brought most of the Jolie-Pitt clan of teenagers (excluding Pax Jolie-Pitt) to join her on the red carpet. Particular attention was paid to Zahara who wore one of her mother's most iconic dresses from 2014. 

Standing to the right of her mother, Zahara wore a sequined silver dress that was first worn by Angelina Jolie at the 2014 Oscars. Zahara is just 16 years old but pulled off this gorgeous gown incredibly. 

Zahara is shorter than her mother, but after careful tailoring to fit her smaller frame, the dress fit perfectly and looked fantastic on the young actress. 

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Angelina Jolie revealed that all of her children stole outfits from her wardrobe for their red carpet looks. 

"My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress. We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff," said Angelina as she spoke about her brood's sustainable choice of wardrobe.

At this premiere, Angelina's accessories also divided opinion as the star decided to wear a chin cuff. This accessory hooks into the wearer's mouth and underneath their chin. 

The gold item was made by an Austin-based jeweler named Nina Berenato. The designer posted about the star's custom on Instagram and explained how delighted she was to help curate this look.

The designer said, "I can’t believe it!!! We got to create one of my custom lip cuffs for @angelinajolie to wear for the premiere of @marvelstudios Eternals and I am losing it seeing this full look come together tonight. It’s INSANE! Thank you @jasonbolden @johnmumblo for the opportunity ❤️ Angelina looks incredible!"

Fans think that this accessory was a nod to her character Thena, who she portrays in the Marvel film Eternals. In the upcoming film, Angelina wears a lot of gold accessories including a gold tiara style headpiece that matches her silver and gold armor. 

Eternals will be available in cinemas across the US and in the UK from 5 November 2021.
