    Fans have been loving BBC One’s new adaption of JK Rowling’s Strike: Lethal White. The fourth TV adaption in the author’s Strike series – which was penned under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith – sees detective duo Cormoran and Robin investigate claims from a young man that he had seen a girl murdered in the woods as a child.

    Good news for fans who thought they’d have months to wait before finding out what happens next to the dynamic duo, played onscreen by Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger.

    JK‘s latest novel is set to hit bookshops on the 15th September, and is available for pre-order now.

    Titled Troubled Blood, the fifth book in the author’s hugely popular series is a doorstop 944 pages, so is sure to keep fans occupied until the crime series returns to our Sunday night screens.

    What is JK Rowling’s new novel about?

    The synopsis for JK Rowling’s latest Strike novel reads, ‘Cormoran Strike is visiting his family in Cornwall when he is approached by a woman asking for help finding her mother, Margot Bamborough – who went missing in mysterious circumstances in 1974. The relish of solving a 40-year-old cold case is too much for Strike to ignore, even if he soon discovers that cold cases can also prove to be deadly.’

    The novel is likely to further explore Robin and Cormoran’s relationship, with Strike star Holliday Grainger telling the BBC ahead of season four, ‘I think we’re all just rooting for her and Strike, aren’t we? She and Matthew have to end. And maybe that’s because she’s growing into the person she’s meant to become, doing the work she was meant to.’
