Now that the hottest temperatures of the summer heatwave seem to be behind us, it's time to start preparing our wardrobe for autumn.

Gone will be the dresses and shorts of the warmer months - instead, we'll be welcoming back light jackets, jeans and boots once more.

And there's one fashion buy from one of our favourite retailers that we reckon is going to be huge this autumn.

Recently, Marks & Spencer posted about one of their A/W releases, a gorgeous beige silk trench coat.

Sharing a photo of the trench on their Instagram, M&S left customers lusting over the simple but stylish trench, with a flattering fit.

With the photo winning over 1,200 likes, fans were certainly impressed, writing comments including 'I kinda want this trench coats. So gorgeous 😍😍😍'.

While another shopper agreed, saying, 'This coat is amazing!', and a third said, 'You do such a good trench!'

Although the coat is part of Marks & Spencer's autumn collection, it's actually available online now, for the slightly more expensive price of £149.

And given that we're not even into coat-wearing season yet, it seems customers are already stocking up - as the trench is already almost sold out in a size 24.

So how should you style the ever-chic trench coat? Model Mercer7 styled hers in a relaxed but smart parisian style, with some matching beige trousers and sky-high heels.

You could also easily dress it down, with a pair of flats and jeans, paired with a striped breton top.

But a trench coat is so versatile, it would work equally as well with a stylish dress or skirt too.

We predict huge success for this coat as the colder weather draws in, so if you want it for your wardrobe, you may want to pick it up now - before everyone else catches on.
