Payday is here, so now felt like a fitting time to put together a one-stop shop of the newest beauty buys to hit the market this month that are actually worth parting ways with your money for.
Haircare launches have been coming in thick and fast this month, from the best shampoos for fine hair and nourishing hair masks to the best dry shampoo and volume-boosting creams; trust us, there's a lot worth talking about.
But that's not all; we've also been treated to an ultra-lightweight concealer from a popular Scandi beauty brand and a renewal lip mask with nourishing ingredients straight from Iceland's Blue Lagoon. All this and more in this guide of the best beauty products to make their debut this August.
The 11 best new beauty launches to land on our desk in August
We've been misting, slathering and lathering our way through the month, including the best body lotions with serum-infused formulas and an all-new addition to the Jo Malone perfume lineup...
Inspired by the wild British coastline, Jo Malone's Sea Salt and Bergamot Eau de Toilette is the newest scent to join the fragrance house's lineup. This fresh, mineral citrus blend opens with bright bergamot, before revealing an airy sea salt heart, and drying down to a warm, woody driftwood base. The outcome? A clean, breezy scent with a chic depth to it that instantly transports you to a British coastal town upon one spritz.
I'm already a fan of Living Proof's OG Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, but this newest launch is like an instant hair wash in a bottle. It's a mist rather than an aerosol, which means you simply spritz it onto the roots and leave it to dry before massaging it in. As someone with hair that gets greasy fast, this mist has quickly become an essential in my haircare routine. It also does a great job at boosting the volume of my naturally flat roots. The bottle is also streamlined enough to throw into my handbag, making for easy top-ups throughout the day - especially in the heatwave weather.
To preface, I'm not typically a fan of body lotions due to their sticky, claggy feeling. However, the Gluta-Hya Smoothing Serum Burst Lotion boasts an incredibly lightweight formula. A little goes a long way, and it instantly absorbs into the skin – meaning you can get dressed straight away with no transfer. As for results, it is like a pick-me-up for the skin, banishing dullness and delivering an immediate natural radiance, without looking greasy. My skin appears revitalised, smoother and more hydrated. Plus, it's accompanied by a gorgeous fresh scent too.
"I've been a fan of Salt & Stone's deodorants for some time now, but this new Ambrette & Pear has become my instant favourite. It's fresh, clean and delicately floral, with those hints of crisp pear mingling with jasmine and orange blossom, but there's also this gorgeous, creamy muskiness to it. It's soft but seriously long-lasting - every time I lift my arms or change my clothes, I'm met with this powdery and flowery waft. I'm very much a musky, woody-floral perfume girl, and I'm already loving how this layers with all of my favourites. As for the formula itself, it does such a great job of neutralising odour without being harsh on the skin. I now need this scent in every one of Salt & Stone's other products, STAT."

This isn't just any old volumising cream; this formula not only works to boost volume and lift of the strands but also strengthens and protects the hair fibre. In turn, this helps the hair hold its shape, body and bounce for longer. It's also equipped with heat and humidity protection. Unlike other volumising creams on the market, this lightweight cream has an undetectable feel in my fine strands, while working to give my hair a fuller-looking appearance.
Scandi beauty brand CAIA Cosmetics has expanded its concealer offering with the launch of the Dewy Drops Serum Concealer. It boasts a weightless liquid formula that seamlessly melts into the skin for natural, lightweight coverage. However, it can easily be built up to achieve more coverage without looking cakey. The finish is truly gorgeous, offering a fresh-faced, barely there effect that looks like skin.
Designed to boost the volume, density, and fullness of the strands, Caudalie's Density & Volume Shampoo is powered by VineOxyl™, a patented active ingredient, for stronger hair with every wash. Free from sulphates and silicones, this gentle shampoo cleanses the tresses, restores body, and leaves hair looking visibly thicker while maintaining vibrancy.
Powered by the elements found in the unique geothermal seawater of the Icelandic Blue Lagoon, this fragrance-free lip mask is the latest launch from Blue Lagoon Skin Science. It boasts a cream texture, rather than a balm, which allows it to melt into the lips for a conditioned effect. It's also equipped with bakuchiol and ceramides, which helped banish dryness for lasting comfort and left my lips feeling smoother and plumper. Not to mention, it arrives with a heavyweight metal applicator that stimulates the lips. While it is an investment, a little does go a long way, meaning you get your money's worth.
I have long, fine strands, which means my hair is prone to getting tangled (especially post-hair wash) and can often result in frequent hair fall. Thankfully, this conditioner's main goal is to detangle hair. Free from silicone, sulphates, mineral oils and fragrance, the formula is enriched with AHAs, vegan keratin and arginine to strengthen the hair fibre for weightless shine – without weighing it down. It left my tresses smooth, soft, tangle-free and easy to manage – tick, tick, tick.
Following in the footsteps of Sheglam's product lineup of high-performance formulas with affordable and accessible price tags, the all-new Good Grip Ultra-Blur Primer is a multitasking must-have. The first step in your makeup routine, this primer creates a grippy base for makeup to stick to, whilst working to blur pores and uneven texture for a smooth, soft-focus finish. Enriched with niacinamide, it also works to improve the appearance of large pores over time and keep excess shine at bay. What's more, you can now also shop Sheglam products at Boots.
Not just a hair mask, ishga's new Hydrating Hair & Scalp Mask actually acts as a multi-use treatment that can be used to nourish the hair, scalp and body. Mineral-rich clay, botanical oils and marine actives work together to cleanse, rebalance and hydrate by minimising excess oil, improving moisture retention and increasing natural shine. Not to mention, it also has ishga's signature aromatherapy blend of essential oils that gives the treatment that calming, spa-like feel from the comfort of your own home.
