The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to make their first joint public appearance next Monday since their low-profile visit to England for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last month, according to inside sources.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will travel to New York City next week to participate in a UN General Assembly meeting on July 18, which also happens to be Nelson Mandela International Day. The Duke is expected to deliver a keynote speech at the gathering, which kicks off at 10am at the UN Headquarters in Manhattan.
It is unknown if the royal couple will take their two young children, Archie and Lilibet Diana, along for the cross-country trip.
The content of Prince Harry's speech also remains a mystery, but it has been speculated that the 37-year-old will touch on issues such as the climate crisis and global poverty.
The Sussexes last attended the UN General Assembly in September 2021, during a whirlwind tour of back-to-back engagements in New York. Their jam-packed itinerary included an appearance at the Global Citizen Live concert, a visit to the One World Trade Center observatory, and even a reading of Meghan Markle's children's book, The Bench, at a school in Harlem.
They stayed at the luxurious Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, a longtime favorite of the late Princess Diana, for their busy week-long trip and were also reportedly accompanied by a videographer who captured footage for their rumored upcoming Netflix documentary.

The couple's children did not join them but were kept close to their hearts, with Prince Harry paying tribute to Archie during the visit by carrying a black laptop case with an inscription of the three-year-old's name.
