Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to attend a major event in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next week, marking their first joint outing in the UK since their high-profile withdrawal as senior royals in January 2020.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now reside permanently in California, are predicted to appear at a Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's reign at St. Paul's Cathedral in London on Friday, 3 June. They will be joined by the Queen's children, grandchildren, and cousins at the invite-only ceremony.
Harry and Meghan's two kids, Archie, 3, and one-year-old Lilibet, will accompany the couple to England, but it looks unlikely that they'll be joining all the festivities. According to the Telegraph, the youngest of the Queen's great-grandchildren will not attend the Service of Thanksgiving. The involvement of Prince William and Kate Middleton's two older children, Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 7, has not been confirmed.
It's also been reported that Harry and Meghan, along with Prince Andrew, will attend the event as private citizens.
The Sussexes' UK visit is gearing up to be of the most-anticipated aspects of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, as fans anxiously await how the Royal Family's reunion with their estranged relatives will go down. It's understood that Harry, Meghan, and their two children will stay at their former home of Frogmore Cottage for the duration of their trip. The extent of their participation in the four-day-long bank weekend celebrations remains unknown, but according to some royal experts, there's nothing to stop Harry and Meghan from 'freelancing' during the Platinum Jubilee.
