Great news for fans of the Real Housewives: old favorites are set to return for a brand new 'mash up' series.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum Dorinda Medley has signed on to join the upcoming Housewives mash-up series, according to multiple reports.
Though she didn’t join the show until its seventh series back in 2015, Dorinda instantly became a fixture on the show, thanks in part to her history with cast members including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel.
The cast visiting Dorinda’s sublime Berkshire home, Blue Stone Manor, became an annual tradition. However, Dorinda has been off screens after taking a pause from the hit Bravo series, following a difficult time for her on the show. Dorinda was often involved in emotional outbursts and arguments with her co-stars, who feared she hadn’t properly grieved her late husband.
Discussing her return, a source reportedly told the Daily Mail: ‘Viewers love Dorinda, and we thought it would be great to have her star in a new show that brings her together with past favorites from other franchises.’
Former Housewives from different cities are also rumored to be joining the series, including Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills troublemaker Brandi Glanville and Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks
Set to join Dorinda in the spin-off show is another Real Housewives of New York alum, Jill Zarin.
Zarin was one of the very first cast members on the series, but she left back in season 4 after a blistering feud with Skinny Girl founder Bethenny Frankel.
Former Housewives from different cities are also rumored to be joining the series, including Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills troublemaker Brandi Glanville and Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks.
Other names expected to appear are Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Taylor Armstrong and Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Eva Marcille.
If the rumors are true, this will be the second Real Housewives mash up series. The first Real Housewives All Stars season has already filmed and brought together current cast members including Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, Real Housewives of New York’s Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards.
They filmed the all-stars series in Turks and Caicos for NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, with the official release date not yet given.
