Princess Eugenie shares lovely tribute to mum Sarah Ferguson on her 60th birthday

On Wednesday, Princess Eugenie delighted fans with a series of throwback photos to celebrate her mum’s 60th birthday.

Princess Eugenie is very active on social media, and we love seeing updates from the royal. A lot of these feature her family, as she’s very close to her mother, father Prince Andrew, and older sister Princess Beatrice.

To celebrate her mum, the Duchess of York’s milestone birthday, she shared five photographs from throughout the years, with the caption, ‘To my beautiful Mumma - Happy 60th birthday.’

She concluded her post with a sweet message for her mum, adding, ‘You are an inspiration and one of the people I admire most in this world. Thank you for being you. I love you to the moon and back’.

Princess Eugenie’s chosen photographs showed her as a child, with her mother doting on her whether that’s reading a book, holding her in her arms, or even tying up her hair!

The post received more than 71,000 likes from royal fans, with many leaving birthday messages for the Duchess.

One fan wrote, ‘Happy Birthday to your wonderful mum, may she have all the joy and the recognition she deserves!! 💕'.

A third shared a birthday with the Duchess, saying, ‘I love that I share a birthday with your mum. She is such a strong woman, who always knows her own mind.’

To celebrate International Day of the Girl, Princess Eugenie attended a charity event with her mother for Street Child earlier this month.

She shared a lovely photograph alongside Sarah, Duchess of York, writing, ‘Today is a special day to celebrate girls across the world - something we should do daily. I'm so lucky to be able to have had parents that support me as a girl and I wish to do the same for others.’
