Prince Harry and Meghan Markle delighted fans with their public display of affection after she made a surprise appearance at a charity event today.
The heavily pregnant Duchess of Sussex, 37, affectionately embraced her husband after he dragged her up on stage at London’s SSE Arena in Wembley today.
Prince Harry had been expected to arrive solo to the event, but delighted the crowd when he revealed Meghan was waiting in the wings after he made an empowering speech to mark WE Day UK, a global initiative to encourage young people to take part in positive social change.
“I’m now going to drag my wife on stage,” Harry told the excited crowd before holding out his hand and helping Meghan up, prompting wild cheers from the audience.
And once she was on stage Meghan didn’t let go of her husband, as they wrapped their arms around each other’s waists before adorably holding hands and cuddling.
“I am with you and we are with you, now get to work!” Harry added to the 12,000 students and teachers in the crowd as he hugged Meghan to his side.
During Harry’s speech, he praised the “progressive, motivated, open minded, change-makers” that he was stood in front of, telling them they give him “hope for the future”.
He added, “You are the most engaged generation in history. You care about values, doing the right thing, and championing the causes that will shape your future.
“In this room, you see the world for what it is – vibrant, colourful, mixed and full of promise.
“That is who you are, and that is what makes me feel proud to stand in your presence as you tackle the world’s greatest issues. And you guys know as well as I do, we’ve still got so much to do.”
Other guests who gave educational speeches and performances included supermodel Naomi Campbell, Liam Payne, Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger.
