Here’s how Princess Diana would’ve felt about Prince Harry’s US move, according to a royal expert
Would the Duke of Sussex have received Princess Diana's approval?

A royal expert spoke out about Princess Diana's likely response to Prince Harry's move across the pond, and the author believes the late Princess of Wales would've given her youngest son her seal of approval.
• Stewart Pierce revealed exclusively to US Weekly that Princess Diana would not have had complaints about Prince Harry's decision to move to California.
• He credits her passionate, loving nature as the reasons for her presumed acceptance.
• In other royal news, it's possible that Princess Charlotte might inherit this title from Princess Anne.
How Princess Diana would've felt about Prince Harry's move
Perhaps Prince Harry inherited his love for the West Coast from his mom.
According to Stewart Pierce's book Diana: The Voice of Change, the late Princess of Wales was "eyeing" a home in Malibu and would've loved for her boys to have access to sun, sand, and surf. Given her interest in the area and the close bond she shared with her sons, he said to US Weekly that she would've been in favor of Harry's decision to move to Monticello, California.
Although she might've been OK with the Duke of Sussex sporting a US zip code, other experts allege Princess Diana would have handled Prince Harry's fallout with the royal family differently. Her friend, Dr. James Colthurst, insisted that she would not have let tensions rise to the point that Harry felt the need to participate in an tell-all interview with Oprah.
Given Princess Diana's bond with Prince Harry and the Duke honoring his late mom with the name Lilibet Diana for his newborn daughter, it comes as no surprise that she would take on a supportive role. Harry's other relatives aren't sharing that sentiment at this time, though. As the reveal of Princess Diana's statue in Kensington Gardens is a few weeks away, the Queen invited Prince Harry to lunch in attempt to smooth things over and mend the rift that's been looming over the royal family for well over a year.
Regardless of the locations members of the royal family call home, perhaps there's a way for them to find common ground. After all, it'd be a shame if the Queen's 11 great-grandchildren didn't share a special bond with one another.
