Serena Williams and her daughter's matching outfits are the best thing we've seen this week

Tennis superstar Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia chose to wear matching black outfits at the premiere of King Richard, to the delight of just about everyone present.

The 40-year-old champion’s husband, Alex Ohanian, was also celebrating the release of the Will Smith-starring film, which chronicles Serena and her sister Venus Williams’ rise to fame through the perspective of their coach and father, Richard Williams.

The film premiere took place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California. 

Like her mom Serena, Olympia looked like a pro on the red carpet. Donning a crystal-covered pair of tights, sparkly Mary Janes, white beads in her hair and a necklace, the four-year-old toddler stood proudly by her mom, whose outfit was designed by David Koma. In true Serena style, the athlete wore a black bodysuit that was covered in rhinestones. She finished off her look with a pair of black boots and long gloves.

"I am wearing David Koma," said Serena according to Yahoo! News. "I saw this look on the runway and I was like, this is what I need to wear for the premiere." The outfit is part of the designer's spring 2022 collection.

Venus was also at the premiere, looking striking in a metallic gown with a long slit and beads in her hair.

This isn't the first time that the mother-daughter duo has been spotted wearing matching outfits. 

How can we forget the one-legged catsuit that both Serena and Olympia donned at the Australian Open as a tribute to American track and field athlete Florence Joyner? Or the matching purple shirts and black tennis skirts that they rocked this past July? They even wore similar white caped bathing suits a year ago. Clearly, they have a thing going on.

Although we won’t see much of Olympia in King Richard as the film focuses on Serena’s life pre-parenthood, we’re excited to focus on her fashion sense while she hopefully attends other events surrounding the release of the movie, which is set to hit theaters and HBO Max on November 19.
