The festive season is the perfect excuse to put on something with a bit of pizzaz, and Marks and Spencer has come up trumps with a form-fitting dress that's perfect for Christmas Day and beyond.
Their Sparkly Long Sleeve Bodycon Dress has officially been named as Marks and Spencer bestselling dress in the party category for 2018. And we can certainly see why shoppers have been snapping it up in their droves.
Priced at £55 and featuring sequins in shimmering shades of silver, black, purple and blue, it’s the perfect choice for any winter soirees you may be attending.
It’s described by the brand as, “an excellent choice for special occasions and evenings out” – and all that’s needed to complete the look is a pair of tights in your favourite shade, some party shoes and a selection of simple, understated accessories.
Everyone’s favourite daytime TV presenter Holly Willoughby already showed off the dress to great effect and fans couldn’t get enough.
One wrote, “😍 This dress can’t wait to wear mine for my Christmas party xx”
While another added, “Fabulous 🖤🖤🖤 just have to grow my legs by 2ft.”
The dress is currently available online in sizes 18,20,22,24 – and limited stocks may be available in stores according to Marks and Spencer’s responses to the above Instagram post.
The on-trend item of clothing has also received a number of glowing reviews on the Marks and Spencers website.
One shopper wrote, ‘I love this dress!! Beautifully sparkly and so well made. I’ve looked at quite a few sequin dresses recently and this one really is lovely. It’s a great fit and well made. It doesn’t feel like the sequins are all going to fall off.’
Another revealed how she had chosen the dress for a special occasion saying, ‘Bought this dress for a November wedding, the theme being ‘Christmas Sparkle’. Very pleased with it although I went for the next size up as reviews seemed to indicate it fitted snug.’
A third gushed, ‘I spotted this instore and bought it as it was just what I was looking for! Loved the style, colours and design. Lining was a bit thicker than others I’ve seen, but think it makes it more substantial on and less likely to ride up or create that static feel if one is wearing tights.’
So will it be on your Christmas shopping list?
