The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby girl later this year – and so is her best friend, it turns out.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who announced they are expecting their second child in February, revealed that they are having a baby girl during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan's close friend, fashion designer Misha Nonoo, has just announced that she too is expecting her second child, also a baby girl. Royal fans will be aware that Nonoo is thought to be the mutual friend who set up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first date.

Announcing the news on Instagram, she wrote, "My journey into motherhood has been one of the most rewarding and beautiful experiences of my life. I’m extremely grateful and excited to share that we’re adding a sweet baby girl to our family, and Leo will soon be a big brother!

Misha Nonoo's collection was one of the brands included in Meghan's capsule collection for the charity Smart Works in 2019.

The designer has previously revealed that the Duchess of Sussex shared parenting tips with her, after both women first became mothers around the same time.

Duchess Meghan gave birth to Archie in 2019, while Nonoo welcomed her first child, a son named Leo, the following year. "As with all friendships, you share lots of tips and everything," she told PEOPLE.

Given their moms' friendship, it's pretty much a given that their daughters will be close and share several play dates growing up (as will their sons).

We can't wait to hear news of both baby girls' safe arrivals later this year!
