How Princess Charlotte's kitchen dancing breaks Queen's tradition
Prince William has revealed that Princess Charlotte loves to dress up and dance in the family kitchen
Princess Charlotte's kitchen dancing may be adorable to her doting parents, but it's unlikely to win the Queen's stamp of approval.
- Prince William has opened up about his family's morning routine at Kensington Palace, revealing that Princess Charlotte loves to kick off the day with some killer dance moves.
- The chaotic breakfast ritual is unlikely to impress the Queen, who has reportedly raised issues with Will and Kate's parenting style in the past.
- In other royal news, Princess Anne makes a faux pas at a royal engagement.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children have always been known for their impeccable behavior, but it looks like their latest antics mightn't have gone down too well with the ever-traditional Queen.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's fun-filled morning routine was revealed on Friday by their proud dad, who appears to share a different approach to parenting to his 95-year-old nana.
Prince William hailed eight-year-old Charlotte's dance routines in the special Christmas episode of Apple Fitness+ Time to Walk series, admitting that it makes him "happy" to see his only daughter's "crazy" performances at breakfast time.
The Duke went on to give royal fans a rare glimpse into his family's chaotic early starts at Kensington Palace—before sharing the heartfelt reason he simply can't get enough of the "clamor."
"Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything," the future King revealed. "She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing."
"It's a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around, and, and singing."

The wholesome banter naturally reminds William of his own childhood, which featured many car singalongs with his late mother, Princess Diana.
"You'd be singing and listening to the music right the way out into the gates of school, when they dropped you off," he recalled. "And, and that's when reality kind of sunk in that you really were going back to school because before that, you're lost in songs. You'll want to play it again just to keep that family moment going."
Prince William's pride in his kids is hard to ignore, but not everybody in the Royal Family is likely to find those sunrise Pirouettes so charming.
Her Majesty apparently objects to her younger relatives hanging out in the kitchen, due to her long-held belief that the cooking space isn't an appropriate setting for social gatherings. It's even been reported that the Queen 'can't stand' when Prince William and Kate Middleton spend time in the kitchen at Amner Hall, where they often vacation with their three children during school breaks.
"The kitchen she never goes down to when she’s at Balmoral, for instance," a source explained to the Express UK in 2018. "In her mind, that is where all the kitchen staff work."
