Duchess Camilla reveals the secret exercise that keeps Prince Charles fit and healthy

Duchess Camilla has revealed the secret exercise that keeps her husband Prince Charles fit and well at 73.
- Camilla made the comments during an interview in Country Life magazine this month
- The royal has taken on a guest editorship in the magazine to mark her 75th birthday
- In other royal news, Prince Harry admits he's 'thriving' as he stars in short film about 'mental fitness'
We all know that the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall love the countryside, regularly spending time in their Cotswold country home - Highgrove House.
However, Camilla has now revealed just how much Prince Charles loves spending time in nature and the exercise that keeps him trim and fit.

Camilla, who recently praised Kate Middleton's 'natural' photos after she marked her 75th birthday with photos taken by the Duchess, also said about Charles in Country Life magazine, "Whether he's hedge-laying in the pouring rain, striding, like a mountain goat, up impossibly steep Highland hills, planting trees in the arboretum or pruning at Highgrove, this is where he finds true peace."
She then went on to say, in the August edition which she is guest editing, that hiking in nature is how he stays so fit and happy. But this isn't the first time she's spoken about her husband's love of walking - telling BBC Radio 5 in 2020 that he is the 'fittest 70-year-old' she knows - and that Charles will just 'walk and walk'.
However, Prince Charles' trim figure could also be down to his unconventional diet - according to royal sources he's never been a fan of lunch - a fact confirmed by Clarence House, who revealed that Charles regularly skips the meal. A royal source also confirmed his eating habits.

"He eats a late breakfast and works through," former royal correspondent Gordon Rayner revealed, after travelling the world with Charles. "I found this out the hard way, by going hungry when I started covering royal tours and watching enviously as his long-suffering staff produced snacks from pockets so they could eat on the go."

The Duchess celebrates her 75th birthday this week - on July 17th, and to mark the occasion has become the third Royal Guest Editor of Country Life magazine. The special issue went on sale today - with Duchess Camilla captured by Kate Middleton in some very natural photos.
Camilla also reveals her love of nature in the magazine saying, "One of the joys of being a Guest Editor has been taking the time to trace my own love affair with the countryside.
"It began, of course, where I was brought up in rural East Sussex, under the magical South Downs, where my sister, brother and I galloped over the hills on our beloved ponies."
