Duchess Camilla has been captured by “brilliant” Kate Middleton in a “beautiful” new photo for a special new project.

Throughout the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year fans have seen senior members of the extended Royal Family step up more and more to support the monarch and mark this huge milestone. This includes Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla and Prince William and Duchess Kate, who both took pride of place at the Service of Thanksgiving over the Jubilee weekend. Now both future Queen Consorts have come together in honor of a very special project to celebrate the Duchess of Cornwall’s 75th birthday this month.

Just weeks after making her British Vogue debut, Duchess Camilla has become the third Royal Guest editor of Country Life Magazine. She has followed in the footsteps of two of the Queen’s children, Prince Charles and Princess Anne, who previously edited special editions for their 70th birthdays.

The exciting news was revealed by the Royal Family on social media with the special edition going on sale Wednesday July 13th. Duchess Camilla’s cover photo was the epitome of summer chic and in a move that’s been met with overwhelming praise from fans it was taken by a very special photographer indeed!

The Duchess of Cambridge has long been known for her love of photography, releasing new birthday portraits of her and Prince William’s three children to mark their special days each year. And despite it being a hobby for the full-time royal, a royal photographer has praised Kate Middleton’s “beautifully composed” portraits.

Duchess Camilla was captured by her stepdaughter-in-law sitting in the magnificent gardens of Raymill in Wiltshire. Camilla Parker Bowles is understood to have bought this countryside retreat after her divorce from her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles back in 1996.

Smiling as she sits on a bench, flower power seems to have been the theme of the hour for this photo shoot. The Duchess of Cornwall was snapped wearing an elegant powder blue floral dress and coordinating cardigan - a basket of fresh cut pink flowers displayed in a trough alongside her.

The Duchess’ cover image is a wonderfully intimate portrait of the senior royal in her happy place, having recently told Vogue that the “quiet of the countryside” is her “idea of heaven”. This is showcased perfectly in the new photo and fans were delighted to see Duchess Kate be commissioned by her for this important shoot.

“Two future Queen consorts working together have produced a beautiful result . Its a beautiful picture of Camilla . Very well done indeed 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏”, one wrote.

Another agreed, writing, “Kate is a brilliant photographer”, whilst someone else declared simply “Love, love, love this SO much ❤️❤️❤️ Camilla 😍❤️”.

“What a special edition this shall be”, a fourth person commented eagerly.

With only days to go before fans can enjoy Duchess Camilla's 75th birthday guest edited issue, her stunning cover photo taken by Duchess Kate has already got many excited to see the final project. It's certainly lovely to see both future Queen Consorts teaming up for what is a hugely significant moment in the Duchess of Cornwall's life as a working royal.
