An update on the release date of the Princess Diana BBC interview doc has been announced, but it's not what you're hoping for
Netflix is postponing its release
You'll have to wait for this Princess Diana documentary. Seemingly in the wake of Prince Philip's death, Netflix has decided to postpone the release of Diana: The Interview that Shook the World, according to outlets like USA Today and Bustle.
• On April 11, Netflix was supposed to begin streaming the anticipated doc surrounding Princess Diana's highly controversial tell-all with Martin Bashir of the BBC.
• The release of this documentary, which already aired in the U.K., follows Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's sit-down with Oprah.
• In other royal news, you can tune in to Prince Philip's funeral from anywhere in the world and pay your respects to the Duke of Edinburgh.
April 11 was supposed to be the air date for Diana: The Interview that Shook the World on Netflix. Now, however, it appears the documentary's streaming has been postponed indefinitely.
The film focuses on the late Princess of Wale's 1995 talk Martin Bashir, which largely spotlighted her failing marriage to Prince Charles and what it was like to constantly be in the spotlight. To this day, the interview remains a contentious subject not only because of the revelations but the way in which the journalist conducted himself. According to Vanity Fair, he and the BBC lied to get the information they wanted out of Princess Diana.

It was during this sit-down that she exposed her husband's infidelity, stating, "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded."
Things are certainly hectic enough ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral. The Queen allegedly had to make very difficult decisions about the services and now Prince Harry and Prince William will supposedly not walk next to one another as originally expected.
Royal experts were beginning to wonder if Prince Philip's death would bring the family close together once more, but only time will tell, it seems.
