Reese Witherspoon has celebrated her co-star Jennifer Aniston's birthday by sharing a picture of her and the star, as well as an adorable message, on Instagram.

Jennifer turned 52 this week and Reese took it as an opportunity to show the world how much she loved her Morning Show co-host- calling her friend 'hysterical and talented'.

The popular post had over one million likes, while other famous faces even commented on her Instagram snap - including another one of Reese's co-stars.

In the sweet post, the actress said about her friend: "Happy birthday to my #morningshow co-host! 💫 From Green sisters to news anchors, we always manage to find time to talk and laugh about every topic under the sun.

The Instagram image, which went alongside the words, showed the co-stars on set of their hit series The Morning Show. The actress also added: "Just one of the many reasons why I feel so lucky to know you on and off the screen. Celebrating you today, my hysterical / loving / talented friend! @jenniferaniston

The two women started their friendship when Reese played Jenefier's on-screen sister in Friends, while they cemented it on set in 2019, when they starred together in the controversial drama The Morning Show.

The post had thousands of comments wishing the Friends star a happy birthday, while Reese's famous co-star from Little Fires Everywhere Kerry Washington even got in on the action.

The Golden Globe-nominated actress called them both 'beauties', before wishing Jen a great birthday. Jennifer, who nearly 'broke the internet' when she joined Instagram in 2019, didn't reveal any plans for her birthday -  but did post a picture to her Instagram in January revealing she was back on the set of The Morning Show.

Reese also revealed this week, via Instagram, that she's a fan of the hit Netflix show Bridgerton. The Big Little Lies actress posted a still from the 2002 adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest when she played the character, Cecily Cardew.  The A-lister captioned the post, “Watches one episode of #Bridgerton” with a selection of flower emojis.
