Ruth Langsford swears by this simple hair hack for her TV-ready look

The Loose Women star reveals her top tip for camera-ready hair

Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsford is known for her glamorous bouncy locks, so much so that we question whether she's ever experienced a bad hair day in her life. But what if we told you that we knew the secret to keeping her signature bob intact?

Like most TV stars, the Loose Women host has been doing her own hair and make-up during the coronavirus pandemic to adhere to national social distancing rules, and fans have been more than impressed with her glam skills.

Ruth, who also presents her usual gig on ITV'sThis Morning, gave viewers a special behind-the-scenes look ahead of Monday morning's show as she recorded a short Instagram tutorial showing her followers exactly how she achieved her voluminous 'do.

Filming herself in her dressing room at the ITV studios, the 60-year-old presenter put her hair in rollers as she sipped on her coffee and let them work their magic. The simple trick seemed to work wonders as it added noticeable body to Ruth's naturally straight hair, elevating her overall look and framing her face wonderfully.

It wasn't long before the video was flooded with likes and comments by some of Ruth's 935k Instagram followers, with many praising her hair styling techniques and gushing over the end result.

'I always thought you wore a wig because your hair is so perfect,' one fan wrote, while another said, 'you make it look so easy Ruth, well done. You always look fab.'

Similarly, a third fan asked, 'do you miss having hair and makeup done for you? You do such a good job!' At this rate, she won't need her glam team back anytime soon if you ask us.

This isn't the first time the telly star has styled her own hair before filming, she's been on a roll (pardon the pun) since April, so it's no wonder she's a pro now. We bet her hairdresser is just as impressed by her efforts as we are!

But hair wasn't the only thing Ruth was showing off on Monday's show - viewers were also going crazy for her beautiful tangerine dress by Dorothy Perkins. Taking to Instagram for an outfit of the day twirl, Ruth was met with over 200 comments about the summery midi number, which she had styled with a pair of pointed nude heels by Whistle.

'Stop with the beautiful dresses - you are costing me a fortune,' a fan wrote, while another simply said, 'absolutely gorgeous'.

The dress is currently available a Dorothy Perkins for the purse-friendly price of just £22, so if you want to get your hands on it, you know what to do!
